Disliked(Kind reminder) Hello, I have a question about the Trade Manager. How does the breakeven feature work when I have multiple open positions? Does it move the stop loss to the average entry price, or does it manage each position separately? Thank you. CelilIgnored
Until now, the standard behavior has been that when you click the Move SL to BE button, each position is treated individually.
In other words, the Stop Loss of every open trade is moved to its own Break Even level, which is normally the entry price of that specific trade, optionally adjusted by any BE offset you have configured in the settings.
The automatic Break Even feature works the same way. It is applied individually to each position and does not calculate a common average entry price.
However, we are currently preparing the new Trade Manager MT4/MT5 version 3.70, where this functionality has been expanded.
In the new version, you will be able to choose between:
- Single BE – the current behavior, where each position is managed individually.
- Common BE – a shared Break Even level calculated for all open positions.
When using Common BE, you will also be able to display the common Break Even level directly on the chart:
- For positions in the same direction, it will be displayed as a line.
- For mixed Buy and Sell positions, it will be displayed as a zone.
An offset option will also be available for Common BE, but I will provide more details about that after the official release of the update.
