still health problems here...... not trading much......

last month, may, was my first losing month since the beginning of all accounts i think...... might have had a very small losing month once last year......

that's the nice aspect of the permanent allocations...... a single month or 2 is meaningless.... they are for life..... the 3 month boosters suffer the most......

was thinking the other day about how much better darwin is today than it was for those guys 10 years ago.....

we have it made......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

Currently, I don't have much time to devote to trading, even though I would like to achieve better results. I am profitable so far, and my drawdown remains within acceptable limits—but that’s about it. To date, I haven't reached an allocation level, nor have I purchased any boosters; consequently, I haven't actually earned any money yet.

According to the Rating Calculator, this month I "only" need a return of 3.5% to reach the minimum rating of 75. Last month, that figure was still 4.7%. So, while things are getting a bit easier over time, in terms of my actual goal—to finally be able to make a living from this—the progress remains far too slow.

I have started a retraining program/degree in IT project management to improve my chances of landing a job with a reasonably good salary—even though, deep down, I still don't believe I am cut out for permanent employment.

Got above the 75 rating. Would you stop trading for the rest of the month or keep following the process and risk falling below again?

SZRA is now in DarwinIA SILVER's allocation positions!

hard call.....

they say it's common for a persons biggest loses to follow his biggest gains......

if i had made 3.5% in less than 4 days, it would for sure give me some cause to pause and reflect......

look close to how it was done......h

Very sorry to hear about health issues.......I wish you a full and speedy recovery.

If it was the 29th or 30th.....yes, I'd stop. The 3rd.......not a shot in hell.

Yes. But I also think that, generally speaking, if I were to pause my strategy or system, it would skew my performance results. After all, I don't trade based on gut feeling; I trade every setup exactly as it presents itself. Of course, that does mean risking a drawdown again. In May, for instance, I twice surpassed the 75 rating, only to have the final days of the month knock me back down to a 55. I’m not entirely sure yet how to handle that. Ultimately, the strategy probably isn't good enough if I fail to hit my minimum profit target within a given timeframe.

Short-term boosters—especially three-month ones—don't seem to make financial sense for me; at best, I’d likely just about cover the costs during that period, so I might as well not bother. Perhaps 12- or 24-month boosters would be an option, allowing me to earn some money from my performance—independent of DarwinIA allocations—instead of just continuing to pay fees.
