Sharing a review of the Supply and Demand Oscillator by Trade Code Labs — a free indicator for MT4 and MT5 that takes a different approach to supply and demand trading.
The concept: Instead of drawing rectangular zone boxes on your chart, it detects institutional S&D levels using ATR-based analysis and converts them into a clean 0–100 oscillator in a separate window.
Detection logic (3 stages):

I've been testing a trend-following gold EA that has some interesting features compared to the typical grid/martingale bots.

The key difference is it has a full control panel built into the chart — you can pause trades, disable buy/sell, set time restrictions, and manually start new series. Most martingale EAs give you zero control, this one at least lets you manage the risk actively.

Live MQL5 signal shows 568% growth with 878 trades (64% win rate). Running it on a cent account myself — not risking real capital on martingale.

Settings I'm using: M15, initial lot 0.03, TP 80, step 30, lot multiplier 1.3.

Great question! I've been testing and reviewing EAs for over 3 years now — mostly on MT4 and MT5 demo and live accounts. I've gone through everything from simple moving average crossovers to more complex grid/martingale systems and institutional-style trend followers.
Honestly, most free EAs out there are hit or miss, but a few categories tend to hold up well in the long run:

1. Trend-following EAs — These work best on H1-D1 timeframes and tend to survive different market conditions.
2. Mean reversion EAs — Good in ranging markets, but you need proper risk management to avoid blowups.
3. Multi-strategy / adaptive EAs — These switch between strategies depending on market conditions and tend to be the most robust.

I'd stay away from anything that relies heavily on martingale or grid without a hard stop — those look great on backtests but almost always blow accounts eventually.

I have been testing and designing EAs for more than 10 Years

I simply don't sell EAs cos Eas by themselves cannot trade. They will always break down over a period of time, particularly when there is a Global event/events that result in a change of strategic/long-term direction in the market. For example, in the case of Gold, the hard strategic direction since 2024 has been to buy. But Most EAs developed and configured for this direction will only survive without intervention until The Market makers decide that they want to head back in the 3000 price point for Gold.

The trading Game is not a "manual or auto trading" Game, it is a Manual and auto trading Game!
Meaning the best traders use solid indicators to get early and effective warning of Strategic Trend change and align their auto traders accordingly.

Anyone thinking they can trade long-term manually has to be crazy since 1 year of cautious, meticulous, and well-disciplined approach can easily be wiped out by just 1 of many silly errors or misjudgments. This very often results in a trader just throwing in the towel.

So the best long-term trading approach is to use Auto Traders to execute trades weekly while constantly monitoring strategic direction on a monthly/quarterly Basis!

So if Traders Cannot configure EAs to do this for themselves, the next best thing is to buy signals that can accomplish this consistently!
