Not a problem And not a big need of time to test. Feel free to test and modify Mq4. And remember: every mechanical box is losing or jumping around 0 on the long run - there are lots "break out the range" strats on FF.

Is this for any market at the new york open timeframe? Also do you reckon that this sort of strategy would also be beneficial for the London open? thanks

OK...I gave it a go for May 18 to May 27...I took re-entries and if it changed direction I took that also...here's what I got. Total of 11R

The video is about trading US stock markets, which open at 9:30 am New York time.

I guess you can simply port it over to trading Forex, but I've always been told that bank traders, and hedge fund traders are at their desks by 8:00 am, and may even place a few positions before then, just check your charts for those movements.

And then, there is no official "open" for FX, except the generally accepted weekly at 5 pm New York Sunday, but here is Comex, read on -

Core Facts About COMEX

  2. It lists metals futures and options, including gold (GC), silver (SI), copper (HG), and others.
  3. Trading is almost 24 hours a day, running on the CME Globex electronic platform.

    2. Daily maintenance break: 5:00 PM → 6:00 PM ET

  4. Gold (GC) has a pit/settlement window from 8:20 AM → 1:30 PM ET, which still influences volatility even though open‑outcry is mostly gone.
  5. COMEX provides central clearing, standardized contracts, and transparent pricing — making it the reference market for global metals.

It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.
