Here is the info needed to follow along with the thread in, hopefully, it's final form.

The instructions on the 2 methods are on post 461

Below are the indicators and their respective settings. The 2 EA settings are not showing the whole input field, but the inputs not shown are just default.
The V2 EA I would suggest using it to trade the close at 6R (outer band) method and V7 is better for the RR method, only because the V7 has an extra Stage for the RRs.

First indicator is the ATR Channels MTF

What is most encouraging about this chart is the ability of the EAs to bounce back after a drop...I think this is starting to show that the logic behind the system and the 2 methods of trading it has a robustness and built in ability to recover and ride the fluctuations in this market (Gold 1M).

Add Volatility regime filter will help. Two flavours worth testing: (a) reject entries when current ATR is below its own N-period average (dead market — dots are noise); or (b) reject when ATR is above a multiple of average (post-news whip — gaps eat your SL).

I ran the EA all day yesterday using the same setup as posts #621/#622. I only got 4 trades compared to your 15. I've actually noticed this happening for some time. Any idea why the results are so different?

Yes Lucas21 I have another EA running on the same MT4 as the 2 EAs from here...it has been taking a few trades but they are all small losses so far so the actual results would be a little higher and that would account for the missing trades.

My MT4 will run out on May 25th and I will have to start fresh again (I can't fund it yet to get a permanent demo) I am fairly confident I can keep an accurate account of what the balance is and just add it the new account results.

Hi Chris - Just started this at 06:00 platform time Friday in Australia.

Is it OK to use same Magic in both EA's on the same platform ? For the moment I have separated them and changed the Comment also so I can easily differentiate trades. We'll see how it goes for a few days.

Would have been easier with a .set file but done now regardless. :-)

Yes, I have the same magic numbers on both EAs on the same chart

I do not know how to post a set file anymore lol

'tis easy my friend. Once you have entered all settings in the EA "INPUT" screen, just hit SAVE at bottom right corner, give it a name as Name, and Save. The file will now be in MQL4\Presets as a Name.set - if you want to post that in FF just add a file type of txt appended after .set ie name.set.txt FF will then allow you to post it without fuss. A wannabe user would simply just remove the appended .txt and it's good to go.

It'd be really nice if this, or these, EA's can be mastered. :-)
