Here is a quick video explaining what I am doing here...hope it makes sense.

What has not been discussed yet is the spread...I think an appropriate amount of spread limit for a trade to be considered is 5 as a minimum, so if the spread has widened to minimum 5 pips then no trade.

This is what i have so far with just the repulse line showing and set to slope change. would be keen to compare with anyone using mt4 on the same chart Gold m1

Day 4 result were terrible...

RR method -18.5R new total = 127.5R

Grey dot method -324 pips new total = 1237 Pips

Really?? 2 days of tesing of an indi and you start a thread?!

I tried it out based on your settings and it's awful. If anything. I'd do better buying when the sell signal occured and selling when the buy signal occured.

It's way too slow and lagging for the volatile and nimble Gold M1 price action.

And you should never base your trading on any other indicator other than OHLC and pure price action.

Because I am very fast in assessing indicators in relation to price action and their usefulness or otherwise. This one was an otherwise.

Yeah, you might be right, I might have hit a perfect 3 days of chart action that coincided with the exceptional results...you can't argue that those results were not insignificant.

I couldn't not start the thread (in my mind). There is a saying about a journey starting with 1 step...I took 3 steps and it felt like flying so I jumped off a cliff...LOL

This could all shrivel down to the ground in a few more days but I don't regret passing on the info.

Also I disagree with your assessment about the indicator. I also consider myself adept at spotting relevance between price and an indicator and did not see what you saw....yet maybe.

BTW this is not a TOY as you put it...it is a well thought out instrument created by mrtools, who is considered highly on this and other forums. mrtools is a proficient coder and does not produce "TOYS"...that is disrespectful to him and serious coders alike....just saying.

I have modified post 1 with an update because what was initially laid out was not working as reported.

You will notice that there are 2 indicators now...I have added my friend Ptl 207 alerts which will be used as a filter for the signals given by the Repulse indicator.

Please read post 1 before asking any questions...thanks

I will be giving daily updates from visually following the chart and adding to the result for the last 8 days, outlined in post 1.

Think this is pretty much the same as the mt5 version, and maybe the other versions posted already if you set fast/slow pip displace to 1 in the other mt4 versions should be close to the mt5 version.

Hi Chris,

It is similar except in the 2.07 version it is drawing the candle body using object-oriented code, IMHO there is no reason to do it that way because it uses more computer resources.
