Nasdaq-Simple Intraday Strategy

i truly believe im going insane this week

Hi aimx, I clear it up a bit, your feeling: We have very few chances to trade it. Especially when you only have 1 strategy. Here possible trades for different trading styles. The BLUE QUARE was mean-reversion (my style)

What you already can see: The range(s)/range play are/is extreme: that's what it makes so difficult. almost no setups- also not for me as counter/mean reversion trader cause every time a setup could evolve the market snaps back. So they trap traders to go off-road and then they catch them in a big move.

I recognized that very often in NY session. There are some very big money players currently who suck up the market completely and make it dry. When there are enough orders somewhere: The go for it. It is often a 0 Sum game- almost for everyone cause all stuff looks untradable: and yes, it is.



Means: Mean Reversion: 1 to 2 setups (very little today), Reverse Strategy: 1 or 2 setups, trend trading: only 1, Rangeplay: not really: you have to understand on range play: you have to earn your money in a certain ATR. If that ATR is too big like currently you have to put your SL and TP too far means you earn little due to not enough trades before the breakout comes and you lose everything you made before. THE MARKET IS CRAP. YES.

In these market condiftions is a very dangerous strategy you can try: You build up a position (mostly long is better to do that) when the market goes down... and hope for a huge reversal. Fun fact: that works like a charm since IRAN-Conflict cause these MF*ckers who do that shit with the market produce exactly that pattern which you can exploit - if you have lots of positions you can have and the balls to keep a drawdown of 10 positions and 500 nasdaq points if it goes to shit... and that is the problem.

There are too few BIG people who control a too big market share and we, as retail, cannot withstand 500 nasdaq points down on 10 positions... that is the problem.

This works also: Look at bottoms and tops like in my chart above: if the price comes there BUY on low and SELL on top. It mostly works. Reason: These MF*ckers drive it down and up in these range because the volume is thin here and it is easy to trap traders. They need little money to do that so they avoid the outside places where they have to invest much more to move the market (above High and below low...) - if they pierce it, it goes very fast cause they want to cause trouble here- doesn't matter if down or up.

Short at the top... put TP somewhere inside... that'S the only thing you can do now. R:R is quite ok because they span up such a big range. Why it feels so unfair: cause they can have 100000 positions and you probably 10. that is what you feel currently. I'm quite sure the man in the oval office has to do sth. with that...

It was gonna be longs. it was making higher lows after the initial asia low sweep.

Hi, i wasn't short. The problem with that is that the market is complete out of sync after these news. Impossible to trade afterwards. Too dangerous. That is the problem.

Valid, sometimes the market doesn't align with the news. I pay more attention to price action. Also, i'm not expecting fed rates to be cut anytime soon. So Gold and NQ has been going up. While bonds and DXY is on a continuous downtrend.
