How does the mt5 indicator know which of these 7 timings in the txt file are buy or sell signals? It is shown in the image you shared first but not in the txt file. I was looking at gold and the flags at the bottom on mt5 appear all red except gold keeps going up so I thought maybe there is an error there so i looked at both the xauusd 7 min timing you shared and the txt file and there is a problem. Either these are the 54 min timings or i'm not sure what the mt5 indicator is showing because the 7 min timings image on xauusd doesn't show these sell timings on either the image or the 7 min txt file (no trade between 2026.05.18 13:05:01 and 2026.05.18 17:16:01. On the 54 min timings, there is a BUY signal at around 14.40 but on the mt5 i get sell timings so there is some mix-up here and i don't trust them now.

Would it be possible in a future update to change the color or the text inside the flag? When the flag is blue and the text is black, you can't tell what time it is. Maybe use a blue that is more bright in the future?

Are the flags at the bottom the 7 min timings and the rays the 54 min timings? If i were to upload the 54 min timings as a txt file, how would I tell the difference between 7 min timings & the 54 min timings?

Can you please clear these things for me?

Thank you for your careful observation. I'll check the publication of the script file again. I hope you have installed the new mt5 script. Can you tell me the time of your mt5 terminal?

Right...so when i put the image file side by side with the txt file for xauusd 7 min timings i can see that the image files is showing on the 18th of May (monday) a bunch of buy timings from 2.46 am until 4.42 am. IF we look for the same timings in the txt file i can see a timing at 1.42 am and then nothing until 6.56 am. I thought these timings were supposed to be the same, but there is little to no overlap. I'm confused of which to follow.

I showed above that all the photos of the timings (the basis) match the text files for the script on the graph. The script is working correctly. I don't understand why you're trying to analyze a text file for a script. On the chart, compare timings with photos of timings, you do not need to look at text files that are intended for the script. I don't understand why something is displayed incorrectly on your gold chart. Take a closer look at the script and the files. You may have installed a file from another financial instrument on XAUUSD.

Interesting observation.
I also believe that time and price are deeply interconnected, and in many cases time appears before the visible price reaction.

In my research, timing structures are treated as Liquidity Activation Points — moments when the probability of market activity significantly increases. Price then reacts within the surrounding context, volatility, liquidity and structure.

I would probably add one important thing:

time alone is usually not enough.
The interaction between time, price structure and liquidity context is what becomes truly interesting.

That is why the same timing may produce:

continuation,
reversal,
acceleration,
accumulation,
or almost no reaction at all.

The timing itself is the activation point.
The market context determines how the reaction develops.
