Recouped some loss. Looks it wants to try to reach the pivot level..... Perhaps done for the day before I add up more loss. Asian session is easier. On NY session, all the professionals come and make all sort of traps and tricks.... I hate that.

The first trade of today. Following the VWAP.

The second one is BE. I didn't like the PA hesitation..... This morning market doesn't have much momentum.

I missed this near perfect opportunity.... I was in toilet. Too bad...
By the way I put WK VWAP on 15M chart and MN VWAP (purple dash lines) on 1H chart just in case you're curious....

A quick trade this morning. Perhaps this is the only trade in this morning trade as I have to go out to have a hair cut....





4H chart has a narrowing pennant pattern. Currently it's still stuck between the two MAs. We will have an explosive breakout sooner or later.....

3 trades so far. The first one was too bad as when I clicked Flatten button it retraced back so quickly. The second and third one was BE out. Bias was obviously downside but PA was hesitating and resistance was strong... Better get out.

Anyway, it could have hit my SL (above VWAP and 200 EMA) before it goes back to downside.....

Done for the this morning. As we had a huge movement already, I won't find any good entry opportunity for the time being....

I didn't trade today. My broker's MT5 server's dead during Asian session and I was also feeling somewhat under the weather. I got up an hour ago and MT5 came back online. I still need MT5 to watch JMA charts.

So far I have one very stupid loss trade... I was perfectly traped. I don't know why I clicked the buy button. Perhaps too excited after 3 days off from the market....?
Market is somewhat tricky in this Asian session as price is stuck between the two MAs in major TFs.... Let me see if I can recoup some loss later today....

Now it looks more bearish but 200 EMA on 5M chart is a bit concern to me.... Let me see...

Recouped some loss. I can't focus on trading as my trading platform Motivewave became buggy since the latest update early this morning. MW is just unbelievable a piece of shit. Don't buy it.

Near BE out. Understandably no momentum. This is not usual time of the day I trade anyway..... I will be back on NY session.

Another BE. Not easy to make 50 ticks....

Why Motivewave v7 is so buggy?


A lot of the complaints about MotiveWave v7 seem to come from the fact that it was a very large architectural upgrade pushed into production before it was fully mature.
From user reports and discussions, the main reasons appear to be:

2. Heavy order-flow and footprint rendering
3. Rithmic API transition issues

1. Sierra Chart
2. TradingView

That means:

1. smaller QA/testing teams,
2. fewer beta testers,
3. slower support response,
4. and fewer developers available to quickly fix edge-case bugs.

Several traders specifically complained that v7 behaved poorly with:

1. Rithmic connections,
2. footprint/order-flow studies,

Since you mentioned earlier that you use Rithmic and are interested in order-flow/day trading, you’re basically using the exact combination most frequently mentioned in complaints:

1. MotiveWave v7
2. Rithmic
3. footprint/order-flow tools
4. high-speed futures trading

That combination stresses both the data feed and the rendering engine heavily.
To be fair, there are also users saying later v7 builds became much more stable after hotfixes. Some reported that freezes were fixed after specific updates. (MotiveWave User Forum)
The overall reputation right now seems to be:

1. Excellent feature set and visuals
2. Strong order-flow tools
3. Good Mac/Linux support compared to Sierra
4. But still less battle-tested and less dependable than Sierra Chart for professional futures scalping

A lot of serious futures traders tolerate ugly interfaces and difficult configuration in Sierra Chart because stability during volatility matters more than UI polish. That’s where MotiveWave still gets criticized most often.
