Forgive me if this is something simple or has already been discussed, but I've been trying to figure out how to save a chart template in VT without any luck. I have found "desktop" templates, which saves your entire layout, but that still doesn't help save any time with setting up the individual charts.

Yes, I've read the docs, even searched the VT forums, but I can't find it and no one seems to be talking about it, so I'm getting frustrated, especially since VT just lost my desktop template that I already spent the time to setup

Or maybe someone has a desktop template they can send me, which already has everything setup for Aus's system?

Wouldn't be surprised. My 4 hour 5SMA reads 232.90 right now, and we're only 30 or so pips from it.

You are almost there. You need to choose 'save desktop template as' and give it a name. It will save that set-up to a list that will show when you choose desktop template. HTH

One more thing. On the navigator panel click on the options tab, then properties, then general, then general properties, and make sure the first 4 boxes next to autosave template etc. are checked, that way if you close the template for any reason it will save your current settings.

I don't know about templates for VT, but if you already have a chart the way you like it, you can click the "clone chart" button on the bottom. A new duplicate chart will appear and you can change time frames or pairs to get what you want and tile them or whatever.

Also do what coolhand posted while I was typing

My EW Counts have not yet been invalidated. It may be taking it so long to get back to the bear move but so far it has not yet gone higher than my Wave C1 @ 236.27. Besides, I finished of an ABC pattern for the C4th wave UP.

Move from 235.50 high down to 227.40 could be considered as Sub Wave 1 of wave 5 down inside the C wave down.

This pull back or retrace Up to 234.51 I would consider as an almost 88% retracement up for a wave 2 pull back. Current count will still be valid until 235.50. But beyond or higher than 235.50 will cause me to hand this to the Bulls.

But till then.... I remain Bearish for this Pair.

Perfect, exactly what I needed! I can't believe I looked at those buttons so many times and never noticed the one for cloning.. Thanks very much for everyone's help!

we are maxed out on the SS and PFE on the 4hr - also, the QQE has flat lined and will now bend down to follow the fall of the eur & gbp

next stop for the gbp/jpy = 232.55

Now we wait for a clear signal....this beast is still ranging...no clear signal until it breaks its weekly 5SMA to go long....and no clear signal until the 4H opens below the 5SMA and a fresh cross to go short. In the meantime....recharge your own batteries.

I'm thinking an EARLY indication for a long would be a close above the daily 5SMA (234.80) in an hour. if it drops below that by then, and opens below the 4h 5SMA at 1600EST , a short is in the cards.

EDIT: i mean 232.80 (daily 5SMA)

no we're sitting on the daily 5SMA now.....and going long or short before 1600EST is a bad call either way my friend....time to sit on the sidelines, i think.
