On days like today (April 17), the biggest risk isn't the direction—it's the temptation to take profits too early when the auction is clearly still in discovery mode.,,,,

Framing the market out through the lens of auction market theory.. is the price balanced or imbalanced???

Simply put if the market's balanced you're looking to fade the edges of value... If the market is imbalanced you're looking to join price discovery..

I think these are the simplest and most important concepts for a trader to understand. The framework this will give you is Rock solid to build your setups from... And as well your trade management.

Yes good observation. Price has reverted to the IB high.... And as well the IV high is the actual v-wop for today's New York session..... So the average contract price was right at the IB high.

We shall see where the market closes out here shortly... Later today or tonight I'll post up some charts with levels updated

My go to is when the price breaks into the VA with the POC as target. Predictable profit (risk maanagement).
But where my main focus lay are LVNs. The bouncing or accelerating properties are perfect. Outside of the current or historical VA zones where wildwest rules.
Only HVNs are to avoid IMO. Price decelerates and get stuck. Not as dynamic tho similar controlling/ranging.

Really an incredible week chock full of opportunites on the ES and yes of course other
markets such as Gold and Oil... Exactly the same principles nothing changes no matter
what the market is your trading. Thats the beauty of AMT using the Initial Balance
VWAP and Volume Profile.... Only the symbol changes.

Balance and Imbalance never change. That is all there is. Simple.

There are only 2 market conditions...

Balance and Imbalance. So then my job first and foremost is to simply identify are we Balanced or not ?
If balanced I am looking for specific setups only..no if ands or buts.... If Imbalanced then I am only looking
for specific Imbalanced setups. Most traders are trading blindly without a clue to what the charts are really
showing... So with that said,,,,,,,,, my next post.......

Cheers Rick I appreciate that very much. Just going to get things set up mics and such and figure out how the heck
to do basic editing etc etc... Then will get things moving fwd....Nothing fancy.. I think some videos would help out
for the newer folks to understand much better than me posting charts here...

OBS Studio provides free software for recording videos and live streaming. I figured out how to use it so I'm guessing anyone can figure it out.

I’ll second the use of OBS Studio not because it’s free but it’s just a great software package.
I often record my sessions and review my fuck ups great executions of my plays so I can sharpen my trading edges I am working on.
I find it works best when setup on a spare screen so you have all controls available as you record.
