Eh.. news is all right.. slightly bad though.. increase in unemployment.. GDP at 4% .. man I wish this thing had come out at 1% lol.. GJ would have dropped 500

Edit : I think DOW wil go down because gdp came out as expected (or slightly lower) plus there are all these downgrades by Lehmann, etc.. so GJ might go down but who the hell knows .. Fed might come in and cut rates and take the pants off everyone who's short!

we must wait for the end of this 30 min candle to have the confirmation of qqe cross, or since 4H is already long you long the beast right away?

This might actually be better. It is another nail in the coffin holding the markets belief that the fed will cut rates. A low GDP would put pressure on the fed to lower rates. Right now the dow futures are -50, and will probably be worse before market opens.

Shorting GJ right now is about as close to a 100% sure thing you will ever get.

Edit for disclaimer - Of course I have no idea what the market will do after it opens. It could go up 200 points. I am only looking at the short term GJ reaction at market open.

Looks like some people are actually beginning to learn your system, Aus. They thought you were breaking your rules by jumping in early (which you can do if you want because it is your system). Several posts telling you to wait for the close of the 30M candle. Even with that I'm a little skittish about entering with the 1H bearish. You stated before that even with all TF's lined up with the exception of the 30M was like driving with a flat tire. To me, all TF's lined up with the exception of the 1H is like driving with 2 flat tires. Let's see what happens.

The dow futures index is down 58 points after the GDP news. For comparison, I believe it was up something like 95 points before yesterdays open.

All the economic sites have a statement similar to ' US economy grew at fastest pace despite housing woes' They make it sound like this GDP number was really good.
