I’ll keep this simple and honest.
Forex is not as easy as it looks online.
There are too many successful trader screenshots, signals, and strategies being shared, but very little talk about what actually happens when you try to make it work long term.
Backtesting can look perfect but fail in live market
Strategies that worked before suddenly stop working
The market doesn’t respect your analysis all the time
Consistency is much harder than it looks
You can spend months optimizing a system and still struggle when real conditions change.
Many people believe building an EA or strategy is the solution.
But here’s the truth:
Optimization can lead to overfitting
Past data not guaranteed future performance
Market conditions keep changing
Something that looks perfect in a backtest can fail in forward testing.
Even if you have a system:
Sticking to it is hard
Doubt creeps in
Losses affect decision-making
Trading is not just strategy, it’s mental.
Forex is:
Not a guaranteed income
Not easy
Not consistent for most people
It requires:
Time
Discipline
Adaptation
I’m not saying it’s impossible.
But I’m curious:
How many people here have actually found something that works consistently in live trading (not just backtest)?
Let’s hear real experiences.
