If you encounter a method that differs from your own, or information you disagree with, do not attempt to criticize or “correct” the poster unless specifically invited to provide feedback. General advice to the broader community is encouraged, but targeting individual methods or contributors in a condescending manner is not permitted.
2. Conduct Expectations
This community values professionalism, respect, and constructive dialogue. All participants are expected to adhere to the following standards:
- No vulgarity, personal attacks, name-calling, or bullying.
- Avoid mocking, lecturing, or condescending remarks.
- Contributions should add value to the discussion. I will determine at my discretion whether posts meet this standard.
- Respect diversity, participants have different languages, cultures, and levels of experience. Miscommunication can occur, be mindful of tone.
When discussing trading methods, focus on sharing your approach and experience, not instructing others on how to trade.
3. About My Trading Experience
I have been active in financial markets for over 15 years. In the early years, markets were calmer, retail participation was smaller, and liquidity was lower. Daily moves of 100 pips in EUR/USD were considered significant. During that period, fundamental analysis and general market sentiment were primary drivers, while technical analysis played a secondary role. Position trading was straightforward, relying mainly on Fibonacci levels and trendlines.
Today, markets are more dynamic, complex, and less predictable, particularly for intraday trading. Success now requires deeper technical analysis, precise risk management, and disciplined execution. Long-term position strategies remain viable with a simpler approach, but intraday trading demands continuous attention and rigorous methodology.
