I'm watching the DXY and waiting for any signs of a reversal or continuation. On Monday, I managed to catch gains in the EUR/USD and GBP/USD. Now I see that it could have been prolonged. I doubt there will be any good opportunities after such a large move in the DXY this week. I'll let you know if I see anything.

Same here, my bet is with the USD. Not trading Gu or Eu right now. I‘ve shorted some other pairs this afternoon, all USD favored.

DXY had good reaction, GU overshot a bit, but it closed inside the daily FVG, the overshot filled in the whole 1month inverted FVG... I will assess Asia session starting soon.

btw, they timed the dump with drumpfs speech - great! volatility is back associated with what this clown tell!

although this dump was technically correct and at the end of Asia session, they waited for the speech to dump it

Depends on your broker. Forex is open on my broker, with wider spreads. Some might have a Boxing Day on Friday with an early close today.

Thanks - my broker mentions NYSTOCK and London stock exchange closed, but not the forex pairs

I managed to correctly predict that the EURUSD would decline today, but the price didn't give me my confirmation on the DXY; it simply moved. This week ends for me with one profitable transaction for just +1%.

Edit: my broker apparently closed - but DXY still moving - moved SL before the market closed just in case.

When will the news drop to dump GU and moon DXY? - could it be tomorrow or late at night today? or next week and close the week at cliff-hanger?

Its shit we have to trade like this, but it is what it is - price just hangs waiting for news to move lol

Btw, my first black-swan event in trading was convid in 2020, it was terrible to trade, I also had not experienced anything like it, which made me navigate that event horrible - especially the psychological impact it had on me(not the market, but IRL restrictions and life related things)

This war is similar to that event - I am just glad I reduced my risk(position size) instead of upping the risk as I did during convid 2020 - however, I noticed 1 week before the war that the market started to act weird - This is another blackswan event - all in the span of 6 years we get to experience two of them, which speaks volume about current world affairs... before I started trading, the previous black swan event was 2007 and 2001 respectfully....
