I'll buy a losing system. Try to make one of those.

Why?
You can just look around the forums. It's a goldmine for losing systems.

Just reverse the system if it's a consistent loser (without spread variance). All systems with entry criteria are all equal. Looking for one that goes one way or the other.

I don’t understand how so many people are buying courses from trading influencers, when those same influencers earn waaay more money from selling courses than actually trading. It’s so clear that if someone really found a way to trade profitably or made an EA that performs perfectly over the past few years, then he wouldn’t even mention it anywhere. If too many people start to use the same strat, it will no longer work after some time. So yeah, I would keep my mouth shut.

The reason is simple. Why not make even more from something that already brings me a profit. Plus there is another aspect. Markets have cycles and not a single winning system is winning all the time. So why not make the most of something that has proven to work well and we all know that it’s not going to be forever.
But the real question is different. How would you convince me it’s a winning system? By the backtest you have runned? There are already thousands of such winning systems and except for beginners who think that it’s the holy grail, not a single serious trader is willing to buy such a system.
Let me illustrate with an example.
You think that a winning system is hard to make, then create a losing system. I will buy a losing system if you convince me that, at the end of each specified period, the system will lose money. Give me a guarantee that the trading system will lose money and take my money. Once I have a system that is guaranteed to lose money, I'll just flip the trade direction and I have a winning system.

I would never sell a winning strategy to anybody, why would I do it? If I have a proven winning strategy that consistently makes money, then I will be the one who benefit from it. Sure, it’s logical to sell it in the beginning when you don’t have a big capital, but you can compound even from little money and make it up to the top. There is a reason why successful traders are silent and hiding, they don’t want to get an exposure like those fake instagram celebrities that sell air to their students. I honestly feel bad for those who spend their last money for trading courses in hopes that they would start to earn a lot of money, it just doesn’t work like that.

Straight to the point. This is actually very true. If you think making a winning system is hard, try creating a losing system.. Haha… I never thought of that, but it’s as hard as creating a winning system. Of course if you are not allowed to play with the lot size and instantly trade with insane lot sizes just to blow the account. But even this is not 100% guaranteed that you will lose. As for the topic, I think there is no demand for winning systems, so the topic is redundant. No one is buying a trading system anymore. They are all online and with just a couple of clicks you can get a solid trading system for free. But the system is just one tiny thing that leads us to success. I don’t remember which famous trader said it, but it was something like this:
- give perfectly winning system to traders and they will manage to lose because the system is not the one who executes

If a system is truly profitable, selling it outright usually makes less sense than trading it yourself, licensing it carefully, or using copy trading. The real value is not only the entry logic, but also the execution, updates, and discipline, which most buyers underestimate

Idk brother, I don’t get the logic of selling the EA. If an EA is truly profitable and keeps drawdown low, why sell it at all? Why not just run it on your own capital, compound the gains, and build wealth ovetime quietly? Even giving it to a few trusted people makes sense. But selling it to the masses? That is when the math breaks. Either the edge isn't real, or it won't last once hundreds of users run the same logic, because markets adapt and strategies decay. If someone's really sitting on a money printer, they're not marketing it on Telegram or MQL for $1000. Just saying, my opinion…

I have known a trader who makes 80-90 trades a day. Always 7 ticks NQ.
Imagine this frequency.
I always aim for 20-50 ticks with a max of 5 trades a day.
That is the problem if people wants to buy a strategy, signal or course.
Is this strategy even for you? What goals can you achive with those signals (I met numerous people who burned themselves with signals).

This idea that retail traders move the market is not really accurate, we are too small for that. I think more important point is discipline, because even if you share a system most people will not follow it properly. I tested this myself and results differed a lot between traders
