There wasn't a ceasefire technically. It was just Trump saying he wouldn't follow through with the threat of attacking Iran's power plant and infrastructure and would hold off doing that for 5 days.

I have seen a lot of reports that Iran are insisting there are no talks and pretty sure Israel has continued attacks today anyway. Going to be a messy few days

We can do anything, literally anything, get to 4600 or the other way around to 4300. There is no trend or technical point of view here

very true! as long as we have a system to read price, the market always gives entries.. did my last trade gold sells from 4464.. TPed 4400. see you guys in Asia. there are few good traders who teaches us how to read the market. Especially MR Deal. learnt a few things from him.

The daily 200 SMA and WMA were broken up in October 2023 and price has remained above it ever since. In fact, this is the first time of retouching them after the break up. It will be very, very difficult for price to break below it in one try. It will take time.

The Accum/Dist indicator hasn't yet reached the bottom of the February 2nd low. The price closed at 4,406.6, and the February 2nd low on my TradingView chart is 4,403.97. Furthermore, the 4H chart shows a classic HAMMER pattern following a possible elephant bar. A bullish possibility is possible.

4h distribution was not yet totally invalidated.
After 1st attempt, the test at average cleared failed, and consequent average price test rejecting to downside.
By opening the average also failed but ending respecting the close...
Price is very very indecisive at the moment.
Honestly if they don't break this price 4536.415 there is no level invalidation and no distribution failed confirmed.
I think the image below is very illuminating that something will come from this range...

Fed's Daly: There are two possible paths for the economy
When uncertainty is elevated, considering scenarios is more useful than debating a modal outlook. Today, there are at least two possible paths for the economy
In one, the conflict in the Middle East resolves quickly, oil and energy prices fall, and the impact on the U.S. economy is short-lived and muted
Under those circumstances, it likely would make sense to look through the temporary rise in energy prices, assuming inflation expectations remain well anchored.
But if the conflict becomes more protracted, a different scenario is possible. Disruptions in energy supply and associated cost pressures could persist, with increased risks for higher inflation, slower growth, and a weaker labor market.
So, for now, recognizing the uncertainty, examining potential scenarios, and staying focused on restoring price stability and supporting full employment no matter how the economy evolves is optimal communication and appropriate policy.

That's actually incorrect, people are already confusing gold with not being a "safe haven". But if you look at YTD, gold started at 4320. Given the conditions and everything going on the war had been priced in, which led to the 5400 rally. This was the big hedge funds coming in - central banks accumulate slowly and steadily, now gold is taking a breather -- its trapped those fomo buyers. Even though price valuations by JPM and GS are at times used for manipulation, a 6k3 target for end of year is not just valued for no reason. Often the number isn't what matter's its the direction and they believe it'll go higher. This is obviously on a longer time frame, but even for the short term as of right now I believe gold needs to bounce up before going further up/down (macro-dependent).
