Superfly!

Breakout on news forced me to liquidate the call fly, for a 50c net gain, we'll see if there's a reversal into the close for the put fly, which is good til Friday

Breakout, fakeout - call fly sitting on a perfect finish. Them's the breaks. Breakouts are the enemy of any range capturing strategy. I had to close that trade or risk seeing it go to loss if the breakout extended.

common guts won't save you in a pinner, if you've paid too much - the theoretical p/l lines are accurate for the actual last minutes

everything above for Wed is a full loss, unless there's a miracle move up in the last 30 min. This will happen to range capturing trades that get blown out. Trader's job is to identify ranging days vs. breakout days. Easier said than done these days, when any random truthtweet can cast a pall over the market that lasts all day.
