Haha, yes. I had the same discussion with hayseed about zoom in zoom out.
Trick is to keep the zoom always the same.
I eventually made an EA that worked very similar to that one cause I was fascinated by it.
Despite overcoming the zoom issue، just like hayseed said, it performs well in trending markets. That means if you know the trend and you are correctly in it for the duration of that trend, then it works.
In other words, you need to know when to buy and when to sell. That is exactly the problem with any trading system. If you know when to buy and when to sell, you don't need a fancy EA to execute trades for you. I mean it'd be convenient but you might as well hit buy or sell and wait til the trend is over.
My suggestion, abandon any pursuit of this method at once.

You are looking for a trading system on a broker thread. You are in the wrong spot for that.
I trade mostly futures....look at pivots (esp daily in futures), ORB, VWAP...you can even use MAs like 14 and 50 plot on a 5 min chart and only buy when price is above them, sell when below.
There is no if price does this, you do this mehtod....if there were, everyone would be a billionaire using some magical EA.
You need to study, find what suits your personality and execute.

Yes, I know, I already created my own thread here for precisely this purpose, but I was just flooded with information that didn't help me achieve a clearly defined goal under clearly defined conditions. I also browsed all the other topics in the "Trading Systems" section, but at best, you only find individual pieces of the puzzle there, mostly in the form of a very subjective entry signal that comes without any kind of structured plan outlining the risk and time commitment required to achieve a minimum monthly return.

Most people here seem to be discretionary, gut-feeling traders who don't really seem to have a clear plan for how to achieve a consistent minimum income through trading with a clear investment of time and money. Admittedly, not only here, but everywhere I've searched the internet for help or solutions. I only find nonsense from people who claim all sorts of things, can't prove anything, and can't present a structured plan for how it's even possible.

What you're saying and how you trade seems to be more along the lines of "I study the charts every day for an indefinite period because I don't really need the money to live on and I have the time to do it," hoping to make profits in the long run. I tried that for years too and only lost money and, even worse, a massive amount of time.

May I ask how you earn your living if you work from home and it's not 100% from trading income?

Absolutely brilliant on using fees earned to pay for additional boosters...as I fully understand the tax benefits there.
I think I'm going to throw $520 in for a 100K 3M and then just reinvest PF earned on both the boosters and allocations until I reach my AUM goal....going for 10 million like you.....as I mentioned, should have 900K by September just through Gold allocations, hopefully some investors and/or Darwin itself investing in me through their index. Reinvesting in the boosters will accelerate the process.
I'll certainly take 50K/mo in income, even if operating costs are 5-7K per month.

Yes, I am in business sales for a fortune 50 company. Yes, extremely fortunate to work from home as I essentially can do both trade and work all day.
However, trading is usually done by noon ET and I start my day around 6-6:30 am, looking and studying charts. Sometimes, like today, I grab some quick in and out trades...already grabbed 0.1% on 2 Darwins.
Once trading is my full-time gig, I will work 4-5 hours per day.

no...... you are wrong..... just as 7bit was back then......

there are several videos on it...... one i described things fully...... i clearly zoomed in , out, changed the timeframes zooming in, zooming out back and forth and back and forth...... i even squished the bars down to a flat horizontal line....... the value of the angle never changes.......

let's leave all that back then.....

Thanks for the reply. I would have expected the cost of living in Florida to be much higher. It's similar to here, except I live in a smaller town (around 250,000 inhabitants). Having a steady income from a permanent job certainly makes it much easier to fully concentrate on trading, especially if you are location-independent in your workplace.

Do you know of any "trading system thread" in this forum that would be similar to your own trading and objectively describes exactly what to do and when, adhering to certain conditions such as the maximum number of markets to trade, the entry trigger criteria, the risk criteria (SL/TP per trade in %), the number of trades per day, and the times when to do so?

We are getting a bit off topic here as thread title is about darwin discussion, so here are some suggestions:

If you're trading a normal live brokerage account, here are some good strategies that might be of interest:

1) Rene Balke's Go Long Strategy on US30, USTEC and Dax (Buy at start of day, Sell at end of day).
2) Rene Balke's Turnaround Tuesday (Similar to 1, but only buy on Monday, then Sell at end of day on Tuesday and there is a moving average)
3) Rene Balke's Range Breakout on Gold and UJ
4) Kieran's Bear Friday. When the Friday Daily candle is Bearish on US500, Buy on following Monday. I don't know how he gets out, but I'm sure if you send him an email, he'll give you some clues :-)

Now for Darwinex. I suggest you attend Kieran's and Blayn's live streams on Strategy Development and ask a hell of a lot of questions. Maybe you can report back here and teach us all how to build a portfolio of strategies that work great on Darwinex Zero accounts. Kieran and Blayn love breakout strategies because they are simple and reliable and a lot of other things. I don't have enough breakout systems in my portfolios so maybe you could investigate this from the live streams and give us all some insights!

I just made $AU 170 bucks trading Rene Balke's Range Breakout Strategy on Gold with a 0.01 lot size on my personal account.

never heard of Rene Balke, but i cant know of course all in this business.
but funny enough as 1 example for Dax you mentioned, this index is famous for get buy trade on end of day and close beginning of day (german day time) - so opposite he is doing , because a lot of win is created in this time. so i would double check such recommendation and look at his 10/20 live long term performance chart (live trading), to trust such strategies (often such people have only backtests, what is useless without know where win coming from and reasons... any backtest make millions when you just test past data and know so anything to switch from this to this...... how this is done in forward live trading over many years will show you how stable this results are , only way!) . Important with such strategies is how all the big data and environment is connected to this situation, to know exactly where the winning is coming from. maybe to big topic and wrong thread for this.

OutThere has inspired me to rediscover my sense of humor. I don't think Darwinex is the problem for me, and I see it as a good opportunity, just like you do; otherwise, I would never have considered it or tried it out already. Without a functioning trading approach that leads to my goals under the given conditions, it doesn't matter which provider I trade through, be it a broker, prop firm or Darwinex.
