After listening to a talk back radio station here in Perth..I believe Markam has a very good point . Someone only has to watch Bloomberg for an hour to realize how critical is this subprime issue effecting the whole world economy.

Australia is known to have a such a rock solid economy but after the subprime issue the stock market crashed last week without any real domestic reason behind it.
We shall not panic but be alarmed and trade safe rather than blindly. I rarely base my trading on fundamentals, but I have cut down my position sizing by half as a precaution to any unexpected market movements against my technical analysis. Although we hate to admit it, we must realize this current global issue is a real problem .

We are fortunate to have someone like Markam on this thread who contributes his findings on current global economic issues .

It's up to you how you want to translate Markam's posts.

your graphs pretty much say that in the next few hours maybe the pair will go up before making month's low later on. Since 4h is pointing up, and a move up wont affect the dailies to be up that much.

again aiming 236 and perhaps 237 where i believe it is a good place for a 500-700 pip downwards movement for the remaining of the week.

My 4h studies do show uptrend, but the smaller time frames are showing me down as well.
if this hour the price can close above 234.40, i will be one encouraged trader.

To Write (Sell) S&P calls that are 70 S&P handles / full points out of the money is a normaly strategy IF you believe that the S&P will NOT rise 70 points by expiry - then you keep all of the premium gained by writing the option - that seems a good strategy to me at this time.

IF you believe that the marked is going to fall a lot, them you will be better of Buying Puts as their potential for profit is far greater, almost unlimited.....that is much more of a "doomsday scenario" trade as the market HAS to fall for you to maake any money.

I dont count any TF less than 1hr since the market liquidity is very low.
However I'm with you(and Karmos targets) on 236-237 area before the market turns around or go further up. According to my interpretation the current dip could be a recorrection from 30min (QQE) oversold levels and/or price consolidation before all important Bernake's speech .

I just heard on Bloomberg five minutes ago, that if Bernake don't mention anything about rate cuts on his speech .. the US stock market could crash within couple of days. This would support Markam's opinion
