i believe au is dropping close to 5k today or even tommorow (after usd news). After that it will target 5270 or 5300

its not always about people move their assets to safe heaven when war happens. its about people worried about getting hungry, and thinking gold is too expensive to buy in this moment

as i said earlier it could be the safe haven, at the moment it is USD not gold once USD demand drops gold should too. still trying to work out the volatility moves

you dont know what your talking about...its best if you did some homework and learned

i posted before sundays open that gold was bearish with charts

i know everyone here is predominantly prop traders that scalp but try to look at higher timeframes atleast just on weekends so you dont get a wedgie up the crack like so many have done buying for new highs

When markets go into panic mode, gold doesn’t always behave like a safe haven in the first move. When volatility explodes and portfolio managers get margin calls, they need to raise cash fast, and they sell everything they can, including gold. This happened in March 2020 during the COVID crash, and it’s happening again now.

So it’s not “stupid gold” or “stupid USD.” It’s simply how market mechanics work. When risk blows out, correlation goes to one, everything gets sold to cover margin, and only after that the real safe haven flow shows up. Knowing this part of market history makes these moves make a lot more sense.

So I read something earlier this week. Someone might have even shared it here. The lead up presents uncertainty and people look for safe haven. However once it happens, it depends on if it affects the US economy and the Dollar directly. The war in Iran doesn't have an immediate impact on it so things cool off.

Plus sadly, war is profitable.

Final factor, Deal pointed this out. Right now the money is more likely to be in oil than gold as there is a lot more uncertainty of the supply of oil and that will have a global impact.
