I found a bug in the EA. It was trading even during the lockout.

Here is mine for 2 days Multi EA...separated where the red line is.

I do not notice trades in lockouts yet.

Actually, you just said something that’s exactly right: besides allowing both buying and selling, it allows multiple, meaning both functions with that flag there. As for the brokers haha, there’s no way around it, I use Hantec and XM, it’s all the same, or maybe one is worse than the other, haha. Let’s just say it’s a necessary evil, we can’t get around them.

My results from 3 days, from 02/23 to 02/25, remembering that these are 2 real Cent accounts, $8 each:

Today it made 11.2%

Points that I thought could be improved: the Take (allowing the trade to run longer), because with quick exits it tends in the future to balance out at 0x0, as mentioned by another member.

In version 3, test the partial and BE closures working perfectly, I believe it was tried with higher lots in this version.
I haven't done much negotiating in NY, maybe the results would be better, or not lol.

Hi Realblank

Could you look at this pic and let me know if the partial closes at midline are marking them as a loss instead of a gain.

Also the last trade at the midline is reported as a sell and the close in the upper band looks like it has started a Band lockout...which seems odd. Any clarification on this by you or someone please.

The differences to my settings are ...

--Under MM tab I chose fixed position size

--I do not use the consecutive loss feature (False)

--Under ATR zone lockout I do limit the blocked trades to 3

I think those are the only differences to mine...not that that is good or bad.

Hey Chris,

It appears that the lockout was not started/initiated by that last trade that you mention, instead that lockout has been active since "14:41" as can be seen in the expert's tab and visually in the chart. However, it's quite weird that the zone shading is not going all the way back to 14:41.

Also, that loss that you point out as being from the partial close is not actually that specific partial close but rather the order/position before that, I think in MT5 (not sure about MT4) the P/L amount includes the total profit incurred from the original entry, this means that in actuality the partial close profit is inside/included in that last $100.29 (not the -44.50, which is actually the last position's loss as seen in the chart and closing time).

Does that answer your questions?

I was getting more and more confused because I was looking at the ticket numbers and they were not matching what I was seeing...LOL

I will go back to look at that screen shot on the actual chart and try to confirm what you say...

Just a thought -- I see so many people in different threads just posting a back test from 2010 to Present, then stating that it doesn't work.

You are just presenting data and...The goal is to turn data into information, and information into insight.


I have some interesting tweaks that i think will make it work better, I'm tweaking the code and will revert with an update.

Question...with the new EA, if I was using the Single Band method. am I able to implement lockouts within the single bands instead of just outside the bands and can I implement midline partial close.

I guess what I am asking is are the new features we added for Multi Band method applicable to the Single Band method.

I think starting monday I am going to stop the partial close on midline as pretty much all of them end in profit anyway.
