Took shorts yesterday on Xauusd and it played out perfectly

It depends on which structure you're using as your reference.

If you're using yesterday’s or the previous higher timeframe structure, then the Asia session looks like a retracement or pullback within an overall sell trend.

But if you're using the current price action..structure as your reference, then Asia is not just a retracement ..it’s actually a rally with momentum aka bullish mode...Its depend on whats your character today

May I ask if its better to use previous data such as yesterday high and lows or think of everyday is a new trend type of situation

Your role or niche as a trader defines what trend means to you.
A scalper can treat each day as a new short-term trend because they focus on immediate price action and session momentum

Well didn't have a clean buy signal, stick to the plan not get in, was a danger zone to me.
And i will stick to it by the reasons i said yesterday, now i keep seeing this as pulback despite i know we just reject weekly median low.
We are entering in an eficiency zone at the right time an average is expected, don't be fooled by Asia, remember about monday guys.
Unless we break yesterday open i surely am not fooled by this.
Play safe.
Didn't risk lower tf, sometimes we need to step back if price is not clear at some level.
5057 starts to me a strong zone to sell, but anyone do whatever they want, in my concerne i will not buy where i see a sell and vice versa like see happen here so many times at the end of the move ...

Didn't understand your last line for me its a correction but its with momentum so i am not entering sell here just waiting for right level and structure

And you should not enter blinded, it also is not the zone i refer, we are about to enter...
But a test of 4926 is very possible in the end of this 4h i think.
We just disrespect a potential 1h supply, so next is exactly at my level 4957.68
I talk many times that momentum is good for trading, but surely price, open and closes don't change by that, is not the time they take to move that counts...

I would prefer see 1h more pushing higher, to get align, time is not exactly aligned as i like.

The average price of this one was 4928.243, 4926 is daily median high, fakeout or not?

Nope, it seems is not here, in fact they didn't build 15m or 30 liquidity, so most likely fail...
So stays set and forget.
There are better prices above... But still possible untill they don't hit my BE or tighty stop.

There are those that Monday is the range of week, extending or not, others monday/tuesday in in the last one we are at 50%.
My entrie was not about that, i am just looking to other scenarios and just saw this.
Personally i prefer monday because i study it and many times i say is a hard task broke a monday locked by a daily, so who think we will keep rising without a fight are most likely wrong. But daily is bullish and i accept buys, but weekly momentum does not changed yet.
Keep this in mind, we are in a range but there are things that rarely change at the end.
Perfectly level to me is at 4961.4 i just do not want to be out of the retracement of the day or reversal...
Don't get me wrong, people can buy, we open bullish.

And they just build up 15m liquidity, we should give a one more push up, but i will not buy now.
