Hi everyone, anyone trading with any prop firms. I have been testing 5ers but spread seems to be high and the price can be widely varied from other brokers or tradingview. I just had a trade open in NZDUSD and the price dropped upto 0.7198 whereas trading view 0.7140+. Moreover, it didn't trigger my stop loss which I set it at 0.7263. I'm sort of newbie and just want to discuss further. Thank you.
Price differences between brokers are normal due to liquidity providers and spreads. Also, stop loss for buys triggers on bid price and for sells on ask price, which often confuses new traders.

Welcome to the prop firm space.
I would suggest starting with understanding evaluation rules (profit targets, max daily drawdown, overall drawdown). Risk management is more important than strategy in prop trading.
Also, research payout structure and scaling plans before choosing a firm.
Once you understand the rules clearly, then focus on consistency rather than fast profits

Hi everyone,
I’m new to prop trading and currently trying to understand how everything works. There’s a lot of information out there and it’s a bit overwhelming.
What would you recommend focusing on first evaluation rules, risk management, or firm comparisons?
Appreciate any guidance.

If you are new to prop firms start by learning the basics of CFDs and futures then carefully read the rules and FAQs of any firm before joining

Too many indicators can create confusion sometimes a clean chart with one or two key tools gives clearer and more confident decisions

Scalping works well for prop firms because it allows traders to control risk tightly and lock small profits quickly. Leaderboards often favor traders who take many short trades with strict risk management.But it doesn’t mean scalping is the only profitable style. Swing trading and intraday trading can also be profitable—the key is consistency, risk control, and a strategy that fits your personality.

True, scalping can be very effective if you have the focus and discipline for it. Consistently taking small, high-probability moves can add up over time. But it still comes down to solid risk management and sticking to your plan every day.

I’ve tried a few EAs before. Some work for a while, but most need constant tweaking and good risk management. No EA is truly ‘set and forget’ in my experience.
