And DD is better which is very important. Are you trading Gold on M1 like cfudge?

Update since February 3 when I installed the latest iteration of EA. Over the last days the system has recovered somewhat, but it is still a net loss for me

Thanks for continuing Kenning...

My results from Feb 2 to today looks markedly different...I will post the results tomorrow, along with some adjustments I feel will improve the results and maybe excite Riskfighter.......LOL

No worries, I think there is potential with this method, it's just getting hammered during volatile sessions.
I have today implemented the consecutive loss filter as Pandatronix has mentioned as there are streaks of consecutive losses so this seems a sensible control

my suggestion is just based on applying a filter over the current results, forwards tests can be revealing.

I made a backtest from 06.01.02 to today on M1. It looks very promising.
Starting tomorrow I will launch the EA on a demo account, with a fixed 0.1 lot.

Does EA close your trades at 23:55 according to broker time? Because mine doesn't.
I apologize, only the Friday closing was set, not the daily closing.

Been a bit quiet on the thread, apologies. IMO the EA is flawed, no disrespect to the AI that built it. Been trading it and watching it, firstly it is resource-heavy, so it brings your platform to a standstill. It doesn't place trades because it places orders incorrectly. Its lotsize calculation isn't working properly. It doesn't manage trades within the original constraints.

However I think conceptually, it has some potential. If you are trusting backtests or forward tests on this, my opinion you aren't getting the full picture of a mean-reversion (sort-of) strategy and you are certainly not trading the strategy on this thread.

If anybody has been forward testing it and checking their journal/experts tabs - then I stand to be corrected. I am seeing error after error, and trades mis-managed and mis-executed. Is anybody following its progress bar-by-bar, or just trusting it has been coded well and looking at then end of day on a demo account ? If mostly the latter, the. it is untested.

It's the lumpiest EA I have ever seen. Which is a shame, because I think there is mileage in mean-reversion.

I was wondering why the SL trades were not consistent because I have each trade set to 2% of balance...anyway here is a snippet of my journal from today.

Here are the results for today (we had a power outage yesterday and I missed the first 1/2 hour of trading, so there looks like a couple more SL but nothing too significant.

I don't understand your problem. Have you tried it at all? The new version of Realbank's EA has been out for 13 days. How would you test it if neither backtest nor forwardtest works for you?

So one of the reasons I haven't posted results, is I have been trading an FX cross, which is not typically relevant to your testing.

However it is relevant to testing a resilient EA. A very quick look over your journal (thanks), how many orders were set with a TP ? This should be the opposite end of the bands right ? Granted, you can do that without physically ordering a TP but once I tried to get through the immense code to see whether the code would do that, I gave up, I have never seen code like it.

Have you watched the EA in realtime mate ? Does it do what you want it to do ? If it does, I stand to be corrected again, but I don't think it does.

Not trying to be an Ahole here, just trying for you not to waste time/money.

Principally, I think you are on to something. Have you looked at anchored VWAP with standard deviation ?

Good question, thanks. I have had it on my demo platform for 10 days, forward testing. Try it and report back.

I think if you look at my Journal pic the TPs are all 0.00 because I have TP disabled. I do look through the charts every day and check that no anomalies have happened.
In my opinion the EA is trading according to the rules.
My only question remains about the difference in the SL amounts. They should be more consistant
