Hi
so if Scalping is the way then we need as tight spreads as we can get so which prop firm provides the tighter spreads?
Iv used chat gpt and it says 5ers what say you guys?

If you want tightest spread forget CFDs and trades with futures props/

I think the leaderboard argument is a bit misleading.
Scalpers often rank near the top not because scalping is easier, but because prop firm rules naturally reward short-term trading. Tight daily drawdowns, fixed profit targets, and time limits push traders to take quick profits and reduce overnight exposure and scalping fits that structure well.
That doesn’t make it easy though. Execution, spreads, slippage, and mental fatigue make consistent scalping very demanding.
There are plenty of profitable swing and position traders, but they don’t always stand out on short evaluation leaderboards.
In my view, scalping works well in prop challenges because of the rules not because it’s some superior strategy. The “best” style still depends on the trader, their psychology, and the firm’s conditions.

Yes on most prop firms leaderboard you see a lot of scalpers but they can't get more than 1 or 2 payouts and it is not good for long term.

Scalpers move fast trade a lot and build profits quickly and leaderboards reward speed.

Loool, only 10 / 15 minutes and you guys are calling that scalping? Naah, those same traders you see their results usually call themselves day traders, not scalpers. Real scalping is seconds to a few minutes max, in and out with tiny targets. What those traders are actually doing is mostly trading Nasdaq or S&P 500 during the NY session open, catching that initial volatility burst before 10:30 AM UTC-4. That's a classic day trading setup, not scalping. The momentum during that window is perfect for quick 50-100 point runs on indices, which looks flashy on a prop firm statement.
I trade this way myself, and most day traders in the US do, it's solid. But let's not mislabel it. Scalping on prop firms is a whole different approach with tighter stops and higher frequency. If you are a scalper and your prop firm has a trailing drawdown, then you are cooked.
