    Polls opened Sunday in parliamentary elections that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi hopes will give her struggling party a big enough win to push through an ambitious conservative political agenda. Takaichi is hugely popular, but the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, which has governed Japan for most of the last seven decades, is not. She called Sunday’s snap elections, hoping to turn that around. She wants to make progress on a right-wing agenda that aims to boost Japan’s economy and military capabilities as tensions grow with China. When combined with their coalition partner, the Japan Innovation Party (JIP), the ruling bloc is projected to secure between 302 and 366 seats.
We might see USD/JPY test that 158.00–160.00 range on Monday.

LDP has won the largest majority in postwar Japan, they are even likely to reach 2/3 majority, which allows them to revise the constitution

Takaichi says weak yen has both merits and demerits
She also said her goal was to build a country resilient to foreign‑exchange swings and added that she would continue with a responsible and proactive fiscal policy.
Takaichi added that she would place importance on fiscal sustainability. This may cause a Visit to GAP closing at the first election
