True story: In 2008, a glitch caused me to accidentally spam-buy ~50k shares (10K lot size multiple times) of AT&T (My trading platform froze while I was trying to buy AT&T, so I hit the buy using shortcut key in frustration multiple times quickly, 5-6 times in a second).
The stock actually spiked up quickly because of multiple quick buy orders!!! It felt like the bots (even back in 2008) saw my activity and jumped in I guess, thinking something was happening. It really highlights how fragile the market is and how easily big players/algos can swing the price. Think about this, I was a small retail player and AT&T back then was an actively traded stock with ample liquidity.
Not sure if we can replicate this in stocks now (would be interesting to see) but even in forex market if few banks want to move the market for a short period of time they can for sure do that.

The more small market is the easier they manipulate, that why gold is best choice now as it got very high market cap, which no single bank can rug it off till 50% like silver. Silver is very small market and also got some big holder since very early of 1990

Don't know if anyone ever saw this original thread but it makes very interesting reading and explains very well what is going on.

Yes new pivot cooked before 1h ny open closed. Is not the same odds as london, but the odds are very high to tap 4901.47 before really go anywhere.
But also not be surprise 4969.5 be what come next in the stairs.

it is mean volume level which is crucial, but this is sideway therefore it will killing this area for awhile (for some liquidity of course)

But 4h break monthly median resistance zone, so they really can seek 4969.5, this new pivot printed during the open have above 80% to be taped but is not like london pivot printed that stay hours around, this one can expand first too. And only then they make the real move.

Well I was expecting to have a weekend but I like data trading due volatility. And I have seen nice spot and signal.
Just put some sells on gold - quite good spots and signal- data could be accelerating move but also can hit my SL hence top position already on BE next three with SLs.
