Whew! I have improved the EA it now has proper visuals and panel. As well as some new stuff, mainly/most importantly the filter/lockout cfudge/Chris explained in Post 138 (at least how I understood it), some daily loss and profit limits, trading hours, swing high/low SL placement, and some more.

I have also provided an improved and updated input settings documentation. January now looks pretty good in the Strategy Tester if you play around but December 2025 (per se) still needs some work. If you haven't already noticed I use AI for my code and the documentation, it's a very time-consuming and recursive process but it ends up working out, I've done it so many times now I can be called a master

Hi Chris, thanks. Yup you should definitely be able to close all trades at the end of the day just make sure you define your "end of day" as your Daily Stop Time and have "Close All Trades At Stop Time" to True, or if you want them to naturally close based on the strategy's exits then you can make that false and make sure the input below is true (the Allow Exit Signals During Stop Time).

Play around with these for sure, for whatever reason ending trading BEFORE (like at 20:00) and starting AFTER (like at 05:00) ended up giving some nice results for me, so yeah some nice session play.

I did not thoroughly test some of these additions so we will have to test and see as we go unfortunately, however I believe all should be functional and reliable.

I noticed that when price is outside the H1 ATR bands, trading only in the signal direction can filter out many bad counter-trend trades and help catch longer trends. Just a suggestion!Attachment G

When the candle is above the H1 upper band, there are only sell signals. If the trend is very strong, this can lead to bigger losses.

Hi all, stumbled across this thread last week and can I just say a big thankyou to @cfudge & @Realbank for all your work.
I have been trying out your new EA v2. So much work gone into this, but I seem to have a problem when setting TP & SL settings, maybe I'm doing something wrong but not closing trades either way with this method.
Also I do prefer MT5 if I'm honest is it possible for @Realbank to upload your MT5 EA?
Again, great work TIA.

Unfortunately I am still not set to forward test the EA...
So I have been mucking about ...again

I took the analysis from yesterdays trades and tried different Ptl settings...let me explain...........
I first of all looked at the trades as normal, meaning Ptl at 7/3 and placing SL at top/bottom of dots and closing on dot closing over mid line or candle closing beyond opposite band. The result was 255 pips.

Then I did the same trades as above using the Aroon as a filter, which resulted in (-22) pips.

I then changed the Ptl to 21/9 with same rules as above and no Aroon, result was 45 pips.

Same as above with Ptl set at 14/7 and got 161 pips.

I was thinking that a higher Ptl setting would result in less dots hence better trades........not so......

Lastly with the Ptl set to 3/1 I got way more dots which turned out to be beneficial by which I mean with more dots we get smaller SL losses (seemingly) and more chances to close a trade. This resulted in 840 pips.

I would suggest any one forward testing to try playing around with the Ptl settings and report any advantage or not.

Downloaded by EA today. MT4 account opened today on Dukascopy. It does not open trades during the backtest. It does not open stores on demo.
