Just to add (don't think I'm any better - but below might help);


tjwohn - honestly mate - RESIST the lure of urgency u feel. We all have it! I am so pumped to get going live. But in reality ( just for me as I have been waiting for my decimal places ) there is a while to go till I'm ready. Though sometimes I feel a day is a long time

There are so many settings & variables & we all have different approaches & levels of risk tolerance. So giving out a few tips of what settings you should use for live trading is a recipe for potential disaster. The EA is still being developed by the great Macd-rsi who is continually adding & refining to help make our chances of success even better. So our work is to learn through experience which takes time (unfortunately). So play & practice & play some more.

With EA's profits can be easy, but as pointed out above - the drawdown can be the killer.

Much relies on market conditions, u might be lucky. But as traders our job is to try & do everything we can to stay in the game & survive without the aid of luck.

So to back up Trader's suggestion - just do everything next week AS_IF u were live. Then report back your experience. I bet u will learn a lot & your cost will be time - NOT time & cash . Then IF all goes as u expect & IF u then decide to go live, it will only be a delay of a week.

Maybe an approach could be to;

Pause within the low seconds range between each retry with a Maximum Retry Limit (3-5) attempts using RefreshRates() before each retry especially for ERR_REQUOTE.

Use a reasonable slippage range for market orders to reduce the chance of ERR_REQUOTE & ERR_OFF_QUOTES

ERR_OFF_QUOTES as this often occurs due to network lag, low liquidity, or broker-side issues, if it persists after retries, consider switching to a limit order instead of a market order?

Then stop trying if the error is persistent across retries.

Users should be aware that while some brokers intentionally trigger ERR_REQUOTE or ERR_OFF_QUOTES to prevent order execution these obviously can occur organically at Low Liquidity periods & at High Volatility periods. So if these errors continue under normal market conditions maybe time to explore with a different broker?

for July-ver (buddies-only version)
for z-orders(for example) and to avoid spread widning entries . . there will be limit order

assume Trader131 using z-orders expecting now buy-market-order . .
instead of buy market (imagine psread widening) .. expert will place buylimit-order close to current bid price (not ask)

my set file has only 143 lines , the sections related to font colors in the dashboard are not there, may be i need to delete the file and attach the expert to a chart again.

I recall the setting from the botton not by re-attaching the expert to the chart
