I just started with EFX group! just wanted to know how is you collective experience with them. because they are ECN and they let say scalping is permissible!

I traded that, the move was -50 short on NZD/USD, very quick 50 pips down and then 20 pips retrace and then another 60 pips or some down again, and then all the way back up.

What I meant by bying a lot of stuffs is that by searching on google, I find a lot of companies seems to be offering a silver bullet to the tradding systems. As a noob, I tend to be tempted into buying these stuff. But as far a learning I am ready to make this my next project to know what I need to know about this issue before getting into it.

Hello ABG! yes! pl. take the rational advice from our more experienced friends here! i too was "tempted" and did actually "buy" some softwares out there!--very very expensive!...but luckily i returned them after the short trial period they gave, after heeding the advice from some more experienced FXers--so pl. take yr. time and study study study..and demo demo demo(as i am doing right now)...remember that about 90%+ fail and quit FX trading--most without being careful and patient!

NZD Interest Rate Statement.... No change

Avg move around 40 pips

Traded it, by price at 1st min was go up and down, my stop hit once

I am very excited about learning. Complicated and confused right now, but I wll not let go. I have already spent a few days studying this and I get more and more excited. I know that I am in this for the long way. I am very patient. I work hard for the little money that I make working on my 9-5. I have to be sure I know at least what I am doing before risking any of it. I am considering demo as a Video Game right now, So I am taking your guys advice to not trade for real until I see that I am regularly making a profit on the demo account. Until them, I am learner.

As stated elsewhere, you don't want to enter your trade too close to the current price at "news time". The price action frequently swings wildly around the current price before taking a firm direction. If you've placed a straddle trade too close to the current price you're likely to get smacked around and lose some $

HI dude
me I stopped out +1 pips

and removed my BUY orders

look my view for this one is:
we got 132K NFP from 100K expecter +for $$
but 132K is lower than 150K ADP some days ago we don't know how market respect this ADP number but I remember it went down "I mean GBP/USD" about 30 pips on this one "you will say technical" maybe
the we got revision number 79K form 92K last month downward revision so but not so hudge - for $ revision has took place on last 2 NFP we don't know how market will response to it

so the result is remove my orders and thank GOD my SL is BE+1 and have nice week end

I know there is many pro traders made money on long trade but I don't have any clue of where the price is going

I just found this thread and Excel file which looks very useful.

However I'm a bit confused. If the events on the 1st page ("News Events") are referring to GBPUSD then what pair is the second page ("UK") referring to - surely that is GBPUSD too, so why is it on a separate page ?? I'm presuming that the other 4 pages are all against USD too (ie EURUSD, CADUSD, AUDUSD & NZDUSD respectively).

the first page is for US United State news and we trade GPB/USD instead of EUR/USD becasue it has the biggest moves on the news and on that news US news the US Dollar is the mover not EUR or GBP so EUR and GBP moves together when news comes out of USA

and UK page is for UK United Kingdom news events and sure we trade GBP/USD for UK news

EUR page is for European zone news
CAD for Canadian news
NZD for New Zealand news you can trade AUD/NZD for this
AUD for Australian news you can trade AUD/NZD for this

so every country news has its currency and those pairs named as Major
but for USD news we trade GBP/USD just invert the chart it is for USD/GPB

What trading platform/software do you guys use for this, coz i tried it with EFX group but it doesnt have an option to straddle and it took me 2 minutes to set it up. by that time it already moved!
