What can I say, I love Renko, ever since I first stumbled upon this "weird" looking chart I saw on some thread, I got hooked
I would love to be able to trade Gold but with my broker, it would take some time as the margin required for it is quite high for my small account ($50/0.01)

I looked at my chart and your entry was spot on and missed some of the choppiness that came afterwards, not sure when/where you exited this trade but I hope it netted well for you

I also like pending orders and try using them as often as I can since it also helps with discipline, though the anticipation is killing me most of the time, sometimes it even saves me from fatal errors, not always, but sometimes

My chart looks like this, with possible entries I would have been too scared to take marked in aqua and possible exits, which I would have missed, wanting to "let my account grow" and killing most of my profit, marked in yellow

Of course price would have moved down after my possible exit areas

I miss trading Gold, I really do

A month worth position, first two trades of this position were opened on the 1st of December, we're at the end of the month, I added two more as price progressed, two trades had hit TP1 and two were left to drift on
While profit is profit and I'm glad I didn't lose on this position, though it was sketchy at times, this is not according to plan, I mean execution wise it was great but the/my idea of trading a small account with low leverage is to grow it to something you can trade freely and here, instead of grabbing the first profit I could, I got stuck for a month and had no funds to continue trading and growing my account according to plan
Still, profit is profit and I take what I get

A quick trade, would have let it run more but I went to a meeting and trailed the SL, decided not to close the position on EURGBP just yet so a quick profit is all I'm getting from this pair as I still don't have enough margin to trade wide as I'd like

I got so excited I had the margin to open one trade in Gold I decided to go for it, around the time I opened the trade I decided to commute to the Office as the promised storm turned out to be more wind than anything and was seemingly over, got to the Office, day turned into a very busy one and I forgot I didn't set TP on this one, my bad, got to it on time before I got margin called out but lost most of my earning for the past month or so
For this fast, with high margin request (55$), I should have babysat it more closely or not open it in the first place, I didn't expect it to yield much more than a brick, maybe, maybe two, so this is a hard blow and I'm trying hard not to go into spinning but try and learn from this (like noticing it was bouncing off that support area and actually pay notice to my chart, but the main thing was having time to do all that so, profit is profit, even if it's "just" knowledge)

I should have seen this one coming when price refused to break down and just hammered on the support
I should have moved my SL to the recent area of resistance and saved some of the loss but nope, I had to tell myself stories with happy endings and they had just not for me

I actually moved the SL a few times, telling myself Price will go down soon, it did, but not soon enough
There's another opportunity here but I admit I'm scared to take it as I wasn't behaving well, last week or two, which isbad for me, I'm not saying I could have avoided the losses but definitely should have lost less than I did

I think one of the fears driving me here is that I'd miss a huge move so I'm building up stories around every trade I'm losing in, this is something I need to work on, some leniency is OK but I'm throwing all my trade plans to the wind and well, they don't come back

And that's how a FOMO trade looks like
I was hunting for that reversal more than once (two consecutive positions prior to this one) and did the same thing all three times, though the last one was the worst as there were multiple signs, and potent ones at that, that this is not yet the reversal I was looking for, I wasn't near my screen at all and when I did get back I grew detached and even though I could have saved some funds I didn't, kinda blocked myself out so I won't feel to disappointed with myself and shock myself into blowing everything up
It work somewhat but this is not a position I am proud of

Switched back to a smaller brick size, while I do enjoy trading larger bricks they sometimes take ages to form and I still can't fully find the wait in me for those lovely setups when they do occur so, back to smaller brick size and hoping for a better price action reading and self control
Two quick positions, within an hour, so so glad the first one worked well, it was a near miss and I'm more than happy I've set up tight TPs for both

I do admit I was hoping this round would be more different, it was, in part, this account survived longer than I expected, especially with my current broker, and while I was chopping away at it, after my last several positions I got to thinking (yes, again, it happens ) that I'm not only trading my fears, I'm also trading my hopes and they are not less heavy and burdening than my FOMOs, detachment from trades due to various ill reasons (mostly, if not all, are self inflicted bad things I'm telling myself instead of growth, I get the shriveled side affect of it). Fears, in general

I think that, at least some of my hopes for a better future are driven from fear and not really the actual want to have a better life, I take with me everything that I am, was molded into by my path through this life, into each and every trade, I looked at my charts and my trades since I opened this account and saw where I was hopeful, centered, authentic and how those positions were handled, some ended up losing some ended up winning but I remember my state of mind through those positions and it was very much different than with other positions which were handled with fear, masqueraded or not
Can't say I'm enjoying writing this but it is what it is, I gotta show up for myself, like with trying to force yoga routine into my day, eating healthy, sleeping longer than 2-4 hours a night and many other "improvements" I'm trying to enforce upon myself and just like with those, when I let go, not stopping to care, but letting go and "suggest" rather than "must", I feel more authentic, more in tune with myself, and I'd like to have it more present in my trading as well

So, hopefully, this week I won't get to blow my account, I won't be able to fund it again for some time, I think, with moving to a new apartment (rented :S) and all that goes with it, me being the sole provider, I'm at a stage in my life where I think I would have liked being in a better place then where I am, so, here's to this year's resolution

Was working on cleaning some unused functions from my charting EA (I don't know how to write indicators for MT4, not that writing EAs for MT4 is something I can brag about but at I manage ) and well, while testing I used a template with the trading features turned on (which I don't use but it's still there if ever I need it) woke up to several winner and several loser positions, not so great *SIGH*
Honestly, I feel like kicking myself for all that had happened the last several weeks, for my own sake, I hope it would turn out educational and not just "oh, I'm a loser, I'm driven by my own faults" and such

Last trade is me trying to salvage what little remains of my account, feels like I'm not doing something right and I can't lay my finger on what it is
