EUR/USD - GBP/USD -- Clean Price Action(no indicators)

Hi ngonlip, if you gonna post trade setups, you have to follow certain rules:

1: only post trades YOU are actually trading, not some hypothetical trades, include your position in the picture
2: You need to post invalidation(SL) on your trades, including targets - not arrows.
3: You have now posted multiple trades, both longs and shorts around the same area, make clear if you have exited or your SL hit on those trades.

This thread is for high quality setups, not random trade setups you think are taking shape, within 2 hours you have posted 4-5 trade setups, which all have been opposing each other. If this is for your practice, as in demo trading, please avoid posting demo trades in this thread.

I advice you to follow this thread, I will provide many setups per week and you can learn and understand my trading models, which I am sure will help you become a better trader.

Fridays is potential reverse day, there are many weak highs all over the board. I think setting up plan and see how price move friday, then start trading again monday, is probably least risky. I would not even discount revisiting the double top created during london open yesterday(wednesday) but thats extreme cases, your 1.1671 is a good premium spot, there is even a 2h FVG gap at 1.1674, which aligns with 4h OB - but obviously I would not counter the current trend and long to that, just if it reaches those levels, I would possibly short.


I see DXY will probably run the macro high, so yes, shorting is the play with current orderflow. DXY have a lot of room to run higher, before i foresee any pullback, if any at all!

Just shorted at 1.1651. The 4H did not close above 1.1659 which would have been my sign to stay away from shorts.

Lets hope we create some macro double bottom and we can attack it next week and not flush it today.

I see juicy setups forming on both Fiber and Cable after Friday close, will post charts on Sunday.

Sunday will show expectations of Monday trading day(monday is observe day) and hopefully catch the high of the week during Tuesday, attacking the targets we created last trading week.

Have to analyze the news timeline as well, as that can influence the trading week.

TP would’ve been at 1.1622, but I closed early at 1.163 due to the news. After that, I shorted the pullback from 1.1618, entering at 1.1642, hoping for another move back into that area.
That being said, with the weekend close below 1.1634, I think we’ll revisit that level.
Lets see on Monday and check Pre-London.

A much needed weekend for my part, I was active on the market from Monday to Thursday, skipped sleeping to attend the market which I hope to avoid this coming week.

- Lets start with DXY (Dollar Index)

1. Pretty strong weekly close, include closing above equilibrium(blue) - measured from 21th Nov 2025 to 24th December 2025.
2. My overall narrative is bullish on DXY this coming week - However, even in the event that I am wrong, I see the Friday high(liquidity) to be taken out including 9th December high(liquidity).
3. On the weekly, above the 9th December high, we can see an imbalance(FVG), waiting to be balanced.
4. On the downside, price have a gap that formed during the night shift from Thursday to Friday
5. I'm looking for price push down on Monday, if price gap down from Friday close, that's even better, building a stronger case for bullish week. On LTF there is a low(liquidity) that formed right above the gap , leaving me to assume it will act as magnet for Monday and possible Tuesday trading.
6. Note its very difficult to time the movement of DXY, at least for me, but this is my overall assessment.

Cable (GBP/USD)

1. Tuesday was the high of the week, touching a daily FVG, before rejecting, culminating breaking Monday low on Friday
2. Friday close, broke the bullish market structure, not by wick, but proper body close (yellow line)
3. We created the Unicorn setup - which is a breaker(blue box) with an FVG(green box) inside.
4. This analysis compliments the DXY analysis, including acting bullish start of the week(DXY bearish) and dumping rest of the week(DXY ending bullish)
5. Two problems I see right away:
6. - 1: how to play this without getting stopped out or using a 100 pips stop(because this is the technical invalidation on this setup)
7. --- If I use 100 pip stop and turn out to be wrong, that's a big loss, setups like this are not part of my strategy, I need much tighter invalidation
8. - 2: The lack of targets to attack. Normally I need some kind of important liquidity to use as target or an unbalanced point which I can assume will act as magnet for price
9. -- The only thing I see is an inverse FVG on monthly(blue line) around 100 pips down or weekly FVG right below target 1, but that's 150 pips down, which I see as an unrealistic weekly target.
10. On LTF we have 4h imbalance which can help us hone in entry, but I find this to be punishing sometime(not always), were they will punish those with tight stop.

Fiber (EUR/USD)

1. If we look at Monday and Tuesday price action on Euro vs GBP, we can see something called SMT divergence.
2. -- GBP took out the highs while Euro created a lower low, this is often indication that market have topped or reached a local top, because they both ended going down rest of the week, attacking Monday low, Euro did so on Thursday(see posted trade start of this thread) while GBP took out its Monday low on Friday.
3. Euro left behind an FVG(green box), including a tiny one above that again(thin green box) - on the opposite side, we have an inverted FVG, if we look at the top of the first FVG, this aligns almost with equilibrium of the inverted FVG - we also have liquidity on LTF(chart 4h, red line under first FVG)
4. Again, we are complimenting the DXY analysis, Monday start bullish for GBP and Euro to fill those FVG's, while DXY runs down to do the same on the opposing end, before Euro and GBP should dump, while DXY runs higher.
5. What is more interesting for me in regards to Euro, is that we have a clear target, the relative equal lows(red line) and very manageable invalidation in terms of pips for the stop loss.

In terms of news, Euro have nothing important, while USD have CPI on Tuesday and PPI on Wednesday, GBP have GDP on Thursday
- News will act as catalyst to push price in intended direction, but they can do some rude moves and take out retail traders with tight stops, therefore be cautious.

I will post trade setup on Monday once things take shape, this analysis have to prove itself before any trading will be activated, for now I will monitor Monday session and see how things develop.

---- It took me 1:30 hour to write this down, I usually analyze this on my own chart and its much faster, but decided to help people by sacrificing my time.

Monday price action over extended in regards to expectations, but this is positive.

Lets see how it develops after NY session.

Orders set, above current highs(euro) - last time when I posted the trade, ended getting front run, not posting exact entries anymore(+ my chart currently look messy due to personal notes which I need until my position is activated.). My broker is a small broker, if im unlucky and other uses the same(highly likely) I might get front run again and miss out on good entry.

I doubt we will take out the highs until the daily candle changes, but just in case we do, I wanna be positioned, SL above prev Monday high

If I remove the orders or close early, I will update this thread.

But Monday behaved as expected, however it over extended, which is better, giving a deeper short.
