Hey, I hope you've had time to take a step back since posting this. Let's change the perspective for a moment. That's like saying you're going to force the market to give back your losses. While I'm not saying that you're wrong to be upset, the matter here is that the ever hungry beast that is the market sees that statement and thinks "oh, do come in my tasty little friend." This profession is brutal. It's maddening if you allow it to get under your skin and will take you for all that it can if you let it.

Then there's the other side of this. Say another trader had the same issue except it was their take profit order that didn't get taken. They manage to close the trade and find that their P/L is much higher than they had intended. The broker's not likely to reverse that. Data feeds glitch. Servers have to be shut off. Every now and then the problem will be global. Legally speaking, unless there's suspected negligence or fraud then it comes down to it being a risk of trading.

All that aside, was there erratic or fast price movement when your stop failed? What was the liquidity like? Slippage and skipped orders become much more likely during high speed movement and when there's not enough orders in play to keep up with demand. There's a lot of potential factors, these are some of the common ones.

If the problem really is the broker/exchange, there's plenty of choices out there. I'd suggest starting with the bigger and well established companies. The barriers to entry into trading have come down significantly over the last decade. This has lead to an influx of newer exchanges that may or may not be as legitimate.

This is a trade i recently made based on D1 for gold and silver

buy silver at @73.244 on jan 5 1:44 closed at jan 7 21:17 @82

i have two open trades now
buy gold at 4362.34 tp 4530
buy silver at 79.871 tp 82

let us see how these open trades go

Sound easy and straightforward when you explain it but I believe to execute successfully skills are needed ...because if we un-hedge at the wrong time, we will end up losing

if its unwrong, do hedge again dont be afraid to put another hedge on lower or higher than your position

Now I Close my BooK, I want to sleep early as Last Night I slept very late, I took 2 RED for the last floating, as overall it was positive. I hope I explain to you all how to hedge your position, and I hope I'd help if anything you can PM me,,, Hedging is so huge topic and very flexible. its very dangerous todo One sided trades, actually. I believe still we will go 4485, if tomorrow we go, I will sell from there.

I created an EA to do that, but it ultimately failed. If you want, I can share, so your manual work will be less.
What you mention is more like an averaging method not a hedge.

yes I unhedge only at NY. NY usually do most retracement, specially when london overlap NY, they ill do retracecing, of whatever asian done, so I start hedging on asia time, and when NY opening, I close all my positive, I know NY will comeback to all my drawdown.

Hedging is also a nice Strategy particularly for a trade like Gold whose second name has become 'bull' since 2024; but your pocket must be deep
