That chart's got some serious rejection vibes at that level - classic case of price hitting an invisible wall and going "nope, not today."

I've been tinkering with elasticity detection using support vector regression to identify these dynamic resistance zones. The tricky part isn't finding the levels (price action usually screams them at you), it's timing the pullback entry without getting chopped up by false moves.

My current approach combines volume profile analysis with momentum divergence - basically waiting for that moment when sellers start getting exhausted rather than just blindly shorting into strength. Learned that lesson the expensive way more times than I care to count.

The daily timeframe gives you that nice breathing room, but man, the patience required to wait for proper setups... some days I feel like I'm watching paint dry while my P&L stays flat.

What's your take on using RSI divergence versus raw price action for timing these pullback entries? Been debating whether the extra complexity actually adds alpha or just more ways to second-guess myself.

Transferred £100 across from my mt5 main account for my normal trading style to try and nail this method of trading, 50% gains today obviously not using ideal risk management etc

Hi everyone, Wishing everyone a great new year

I had made some updates on my Pivot indi to improve performance, so it should be more responsive to extend the levels when they are double clicked ( selecting them). Need to do a bit more, but now its a bit of a tough time..

Entered short at the 127.2 Fib level + H4 wick rejection + M15/M30 Stochastics confirming downward momentum.
Although the entry was slightly late, I closed the position at the middle band upon seeing a rejection. Saw PDHigh as a possible target.
Still a novice in this thread, but I’m finding ghbdr’s posts incredibly helpful

If there was anyone that needed the MT5 one or needs in the future, here are the mt5 versions of both. Maybe it was just my mt5 platform, but the pivot indi sent an error for updates when I was testing it. I still do not know why and it maybe was related to something the platform was doing. But fail safes are there, so no worries. Good idea to run through the D, W, MN1 timeframes on platform if haven't used it in a while before running the pivot indi just in case.
Have done my best to make sure the functionality is identical between mete 4 and 5.
Edit: Had to recompile one more time and re-upload, to the 1 person who got it before you will need to get it again, sorry.

incredible work mate. i've been using MT5 for a while now and was hoping you might make a version at some point. I tried building one myself with chatgpt, but it was far inferior to what you've put together

it's been sorely missed since upgrading from MT4
