I switched to NASDAQ on futures since it provides a much much bigger range than DOW for my taste.
I am trying to be active but posting is not a priority at the moment, even if it takes a couple of minutes.
We have an interesting weekly close ahead. All time highs and lets see what tomorrow will bring.

Since I think it is inappropiate to neglect this wonderful thread and bring some life back to it, I will give a brief update and add some charts. I do not know if Strat will spend any more of his valuable time here with us, but others may profit from the experience of the ones who have followed this thread for years.
Long story short, I am still fighting with overtrading in ranges and choppy conditions which eventually ruins all efforts. By now I believe my setups on M1/M5 are good enough and keep wondering why I repeat errors that are clear to me on a rational level, but wrong behaviour is so strong in us that it is truly like an addiction at some times. The good thing is that I know this, while the bad thing is that I thought I had way more patience than I have shown in the recent past. Reasons for that are partly explainable, but not reasonable. All of this applies to my trading of DOW on lower timeframes and I think it is holding me back. In a nutshell, I am the problem. I do not see any other hindrance for my usual setups and making money other than some demon part of me coming out and destroying everything I have built.
Anyway, I have added a truly long term and stress free approach on the weekly inspired by Terry. I think only focusing on the lower timeframes is not enough until fully profitable and long term analysis can help to keep my hands from overtrading when there is nothing else to do. This is where I am missing my hand cuffs (I wonder where Jacob has gone!). On higher TFs though, there is much more time to think and avoid these mistakes. My plan is to influence my short term trading by trading long term and stress free on another account and keep both separate from each other. Hence I start with two examples on the Weekly chart:
First chart is cable. After the BIG BOSS was turning up, the Weekly has shown a nice hammer from support. Following Terry's teachings, the high of the prior week would give a decent target and was reached within 4 weeks - more than enough time to close out the trade or even set a limit order.
The second example is something which could become interesting next week: NZDUSD has been in a down trend on the BIG BOSS and on the BOSS price just got rejected by the shadow. A break of the low of the 2d candles could potentially open the target zone I have marked on the left side - close to the major support area.
Hope everyone is still well and has not given up or better, already profitable.
