Funded 50K – closing 2025 on a strong note

I’m proud to say I’m ending the year on a very strong note, officially becoming a Topstep Funded Trader.

It’s now been a year since I first stepped into the trading world, on the day I downloaded my first videos on December 23rd.
At that time, I was still grinding 50-hour weeks at my old job.
January 1st, 2025 is still one of the toughest days I remember: starting the year by giving everything physically forced me to stop lying to myself and to own my choices.
With hindsight, I’m proud I took that turn, and proud to be where I am today.

A lot has happened since then: excitement, beginner’s luck, illusions, euphoria, mental slaps, questioning, introspection and, above all, a huge amount of learning.

Today, this funding is not an endpoint, just one more step on the path.
The goal now is not to get carried away because “I’m funded”. Quite the opposite.

1. I’m going to take a real break to let my mind reset.
2. I’ll only resume live trading in the week of January 5th, and only if the market offers clean opportunities.

Until then, the next steps are:

1. building a second account with the same calm and serious approach, so I can scale properly;
2. preparing a serious backtest, with solid statistics to back my edge;
3. keeping in mind that a payout won’t be a miracle, but simply the logical reward for all this work.

One year after my first click on a (free) trading course, I’m finally starting to see the first bricks fall into place the way I wanted.

I’m keeping the same mindset and coming back stronger than ever in 2026:
discipline, patience, structure.

I’ll use this long message to wish you all a gentle year-end, full of connection and shared moments.

Let’s not forget that real value is not found in front of a char.
it’s found in the people around us, in our body, and in our time, all of which never truly come back once spent.

The market will still be there in 2026, 2030, 2050…
Our loved ones, our moments, our memories are not eternal.

(on a different note, cultivating an account farm, at least in my eyes, is the way to go, I'd probably have to sit down for a backtesting of my own sometime soon, hope yours would be an interesting one )

I’ll happily share the results of my backtesting at the start of 2026, it’s a big project in progress, meant to help me build even more confidence and have concrete numbers to prove the profitability of the process I’ve chosen.
