Habeeb,

This is a great Piviot - S/R indicator. Easily change the settings if needed. Thank you for the Time and Attention that you put into this.

Thanks,

Hi all,
sorry for the balls-up. Just checked the pivots manually and the indicator was calculating the Daily Pivots incorrectly, when "Use_Sunday_Data" was set to false. Here's the fixed version of the indicator. Hopefully all bugs are gone now.

Sorry guys, there's still a bug. Did some testing and it looks like Monday Pivots will be messed up again with ver401. Will hopefully have it resolved before Monday.

HI,
sorry for posting this so late, but I had to make sure that it's working like it suppose to. Tested it over the 2 weekends, and it seems to be working fine.

Hi wallym,
I don't get the above error messages. As long as the pivot points are correct, I don't think, it's a problem. Are you using the one with the Monthly pivots too?
Ignored

I just gave ver402 a whirl. Good job!! Thanks for the well thought-out indicator.

I did experience the warning mentioned by wallym.
The warning: “ArrayInitialize function does not process rates arrays.” refers to using AutoInitialize on the array called by ArrayCopyRates. The ArrayCopyRates is a special function in the system. I suspect that it goes through its own initialization process. Initializing the array apparently causes no problems but the conflict is flagged. I just blocked out the AutoInitialize lines and the warning did not reoccur.

To get rid of the error warning just remove all the lines starting with "ArrayInitialize" from the code.

Hi everyone,

I've just finished a custom indicator for MetaTrader 4. It draws the Daily and Weekly pivots automatically on the charts. You've got the option of turning off/on whichever pivots (daily or weekly) you want on the charts. By default, daily is "true" and weekly is "false". I've uploaded a zip file. You have to unzip it to "C:\Program Files\MetaTrader 4\experts\indicators", or wherever your "indicators" folder is. Start MetaTrader4 (restart if open) and the "AutoPivotIndicator" should be in the "Navigator" Toolbar under "Custom Indicators". Drag the "AutoPivotIndicator" onto your chart and the Pivots should appear.

Enjoy

Nice pivot point program. Thank you.

I really love the picture of the cat. I do not think I ever had a cat who would have cooperated with me if I tried to put a watermelon on its head. My dogs would not have allowed it either, but my goats would have been quite happy to eat the watermelon.

Yes, that's correct.

So, if my feed is GMT+2 (FXDD) and the new day starts on 00:00 which is 5pm EST USA, that is the time when the pivots are calculated, correct? I haven't looked at the code but is it possible to change the time to midnight EST USA?

Hi Palmer,
the pivots are calculated based on the bars/candles. Today's pivots will use the previous bars data, and the new pivots will be calculated as soon as the new bar opens, irrespective of the timezone.
I think Bundyraider posted a pivot caculator where you could select the time.

Has anybody been having trouble with this indicator? I noticed last week that my pivots were dissapearing and I just now loaded it on to a chart (Monthly pivots on weekly chart) and instead of the normal "Sunday Bar Ignored" on the top left, I now have "Hello Sailor".

Very, very strange!!!! I just took it out of my platform..

Hi DaTrader,
You'll have to change the "Use_Sunday_Data" input to "False", as shown in the pic.

hi there,
couldn`t find possibility for changing colors of drawn pivots. My backround is light and unfortunately I can`t see monthly line, couse it`s white as well. Don`t want to change all colours that I use, it`s programmed in me to find exact colours from the screen. Is there possibility for changing pivots colour ?

what does it mean "Hello Sailor" that`s monitored in the left corner on the screen while this indicator is active ?

well anyway... thank`s a lot for the nice tool !

Habeeb,

I just came across your thread. Great piece of work! Have you considered designing Hourly option, i.e. new Floor Pivots are drawn every hour, based on the last hour's price? Hourly pivots are handy for sideways markets, where I use it as a central tendency system, i.e. short R1 and long S1.

I have coded it in OmniTrader Pro, but I don't know MT4 "lingo", so your work is very handy. I would post a picture, but my jonior status doesn't allow me to attach pictures(!?)

Hi viu,
sorry for the very late reply. Somehow I missed your post ... usually I get an email notification of updates, but I probably missed it. Don't know if you tried something and came right with the colors, but I'll try to include that option with the next update. You could open the indicator with the MetaQuotes Language Editor, search for the color "White", and change it to your liking. First letter of the color has to be a Capital.

Take Care
Habeeb

PS: as for the "hello sailor" ... it doesn't mean anything. Just something I used for testing when trying to get the indicator to ignore the Sunday Bar.

Hi Tokarus,
I've created a seperate indicator for the hourly pivots. I haven't tested it yet, but it seems to be working, the 2 times I checked. There's an option to turn off the S/R levels.
