On the weekly chart gold has constantly given us a pattern, once a previous weekly high is broken it has gone up by a least a hundred pips .

Long XAUUSD, but only on one of these two triggers.
A) Breakout long

1. Wait for a full H1 or M15 close above 4250–4255.
2. Enter 4251–4256 on the close or tiny retest.
3. Stop 4228.
4. TP1 4278. Move stop to breakeven at TP1.
5. TP2 4310. Optional runner 4330 if scanner stays strong.

B) Buy-the-dip

1. If price dips into 4212–4218 (the circled arrow zone / H1 mean) and prints a strong bullish M15 close with scanner still green.
2. Enter 4214–4219.
3. Stop 4192.
4. TP1 4248.
5. TP2 4278.

Invalidation
Stand aside if H1 closes below 4190 and scanner weakens broadly on H1 and H4, or if a fresh daily sell arrow appears. I am not shorting against the active daily BUY.
That’s the plan. Let the market give you either the breakout or the dip, then execute and manage.

Powell didn't really say much , gold has been ranging for weeks waiting for a clear direction, after the news the range finally stopped, hence it went for a buy

thanks, i just used ChatGPT to summarise what Powell said, so over all it’s just like last time where he said we will be cautious with rate cut depending upon the conditions, so i guess that’s sort of minor dovish statement hence that could be reason why gold is flying, but still to continue upward I guess we still need closing above 4255, and again there are session based closing which I don’t understand waiting for deal to provide session based update

I won't call it big bear move maybe a minor pullback, most of the buyers have pulled out waiting to re enter at a lower price so market will consolidate for a while pending a clear direction

infact it was the same thing the GAME STOP retail traders did.
but even that much traders, it took only one guy,
ken Griffin,
and his Hedge Fund with Just 21B Dollars, (he is managing 350B $)
anyways it just took 1 guy with not even 8% of his assets, just 8% and all those retail traders shouting on social media
took them all out, cleaned them out with one move,

so again i will remain with big boys,
i didn't just survived in this market for years but thriving because i have taught old roman saying.

so i decided to join them, i was told to wait for the high and sell.
even on the News i sold to be honest

traded and took like 25$ move.

but again 4244 was good enough i will wait even if it went to 65 i will sell again that is the reason i use 0.5% leverage
for eg: i have 12K account so what i do is 0.05 Lot and if it went higher then will see wait for another sell and will use 0.05 lot left.
and total will be 0.1 lot.
that is 1:1 leverage used.
even if i lose 50$ move till 4300 just in case.
that will be 5%, and still that is high for me.
mostly i go for 3% max.

that is how i trade i know my profits is not even close to you guys who make 10% a day or 30-40% a month.
but for me i was told just manage the risk.
and since it is not my accounts i just manage it.

so i have to follow the rules.
so hopefully i will get another account to handle.
every single account is different.
what i see is some investors take a very low risk.
but some take a little high 2:1 leverage trade that means i can trade up to 0.2 lot.
it depends on the account and risk the investor wants to take.
in my own account i can promise i still after 3 years i struggle like hell not to use leverage.

i promise you i even with trading in other accounts, i still struggle and sometimes use 3:1 leverage
for example 3k account i go with 0.03 and sometimes add another trade also.

Sellers are gaining little ground on gold but I'll wait for the next 4hrs to take a direction

market offer a sell proposal..but of course it can reverse anytime....and my interpretation always common to failure..theres still another zone above it..

This strategy is very good; I've tried applying it before, back when I was very biased. It doesn't work for me, but it's very good if managed well.

but yes 4205 10 even was not bad to buy i wanted to but i was taught not to change the direction.
just because a pair moved 30 or 50% or 100 pip.

but i only saw this., have a look at the screen shot.

and also i trade short term trades also. just in case gold makes the high i will be safe
less risk.

so i sold and 3 trades i have done 5-7$ each move and one trade is running for 4220.
who knows when it will hit or if it will hit.
what i know is if it is not going up wait for the drop.
it will move either way up or down
that is market right?.

when it will be enough i will close 3225 28 doesn't matter profit is profit.
one positions i always keep it open.
because of low leverage and already covered 13$ move that means until 4255 i will not be in loss..
as i always say.
try to minimize the risk, and profit will always be there..
