Hi, does anyone know a simple way to calculate the position size of any forex pair please? The account on my Trading212 platform uses GBP.

I am having to calculate it every time I do a demo trade which is getting pretty tedious.

It is especially difficult when trading pairs such as EUR/JPY, etc.

Never heard of it?

Erebus: I've been using Trading212 since I first got into trading, primarily due to familiarisation, it may not be popular due to spreads, but never looked into if there is anything with better spreads, etc. but willing to consider if you think I should be using something else.

check my uploaded files, you will find indicator to calculate position sizing for mt4.

I got that you are using it, but I still have no idea what it is, where it is, how it is, but if you don't want to share, no problem.

Erebus, I did get that you were playing along, I know its not as mainstream amongst proper traders but the reason I don't use MT4 or MT5 to trade is because I've never looked into using it. I do actually have an account on metatrader 4 & 5 because I use it for charting, custom indicators, etc. but the whole thing about finding a broker, etc. is what has prevented me in going further - this is a demo account, not a proper one.

I am currently demo trading forex so I do hope you understand these things take time and maybe step-by-step I will step on to a more mainstream platform.

I guess people use Metatrader for efficiency and capability? Is that right?

The reason I got into trading was because it was advertised at the time, its similar with Etoro, you often get radio ads with Etoro, and thus may be more recognised...

Its not that I didn't want to share, I assumed it was well recognised but I can see why it isn't probably due to high spreads, etc.

Right, so these are the brokers...

I now need a user friendly platform, would that be MT4, MT5 or something else?

I know I need to switch from Trading212 because it has many limitations, one of them is it does not allow adjustment of limit orders on the chart, so I put in a limit order and then to adjust it or remove it I would have to go out of the chart and then to somewhere else, its pretty annoying, inefficient, and time consuming.

newly most new traders are using Tradingview platform.
To answer your question it's more about your learning the market is still same so you need to make a choice where you want to spend your time more, still you can try them all,
I personally started with MT4 and never switched from it is as I made an automated system Expert advisor through the years.

Market repeat itself historically so the secret is to stay consistent doesn't matter which tool or indicator you use.

There is a fee for using Tradingview, the basic version is heavily limited and I am leaning more toward MT5 as it seems more modern than MT4, are there any fees for using Metatrader?

For the broker I need something commission free, with very low spreads and regulated in the UK, etc. Anything else I should be aware of please?

Metartader 4 and 5 are free, Brokers i mentioned them earlier, and for the spread and commission each broker has different Accounts ( Standard which is bit high spread no commission, and RAW Low spread with commission).

I have registered a demo account with Pepperstone Uk to see how good they are and will be using MT5

I will test MT5 and see how it performs compared to Trading212.
