Yes, you said it very well. That's why I admire your giving. I myself can consistently execute 20 trades without getting emotionally involved but I can't answer a question calmly when I've already said it. In your posts to other traders, you often say "What did you do? Did you watch the video?". I usually get impatient with someone who isn't really focused and you just keep reminding them gently. (Someone might jump in and say I'm using the word "I" too much but I'm actually looking at my own shortcomings and compliment you)

Second, when I say it's just a candle, I mean how to execute a trade. I understand the reference bar is simply a reference candle in any time frame I can choose and you say execute 20 trades with it to know how to fine tune and choose the right bar. I bet I am the one who watches all the videos you posted the most times and also the youtube videos you attached on the topic. Lol. You taught me that much and the rest is up to me. The persistence and consistency in executing 20 trades is up to me. If I have to ask another question, I don't know what to ask because I listened carefully to what you taught and followed what you taught. Make notes, execute trades, record carefully every day, wait after the 20 trades are over. And the results will appear after a process. Am I missing any steps? Please tell me where I'm wrong? What do I need to add to the process?

Here is the sp500 chart showing ORB and Mebob - UK times. My main reason for posting is highlighting something Vidvad said along the lines of: "set your trade profit and stops and get on with something else away from the PC. Not all days are like this but with something around 0.618 or even 50 percent targets it may be worth watching for twenty or so trades. Try it.

If you cannot articulate how your interest aligns with ours, then this is not the thread for you and I am not qualified to comment on your work.

Today I had a PM from an FF member who asked me that if after all these years had I never wanted to leave my job and trade full time.

wel,, the honest answer, and the answer anyone whose been following me here in recent years would know, is that of course I'd like to leave my day job and rely soley on my trading profits to support my family.

Here is my answer to him:
Slow is Fast when it comes to making money trading.

My goal has always been to replace my income from my job with income from trading.

I've never been close to getting there, until now. And even now, I'm in no hurry to leave the security of my full-time employment.

You must not let hubris convince you that you are further along than you are.

The ego is a tricky beast. It tricks us into thinking we are better than we are, that we know more than we in fact know, and that fast is fast. However, we are forever a work in progress, we must strive to come to know that which we do not know, and we must accept that slow is fast.
