That is a little subjective, market does not move in a straight line in first place.
All of us have our own patterns and it can be continuation or reversal since we know what are doing.
The same buy limits at specific prices that buyers do, sellers can do it as obvious target and vice versa.
It all depend of market conditions and the weekly plan for the week. And obvious a good risk management.
I sell it and almost make my goal for the day in sells, not necessary i will not buy, i could do it but at the moment i still was in a drawdown in 1st suposed buy, could done it at 4238 again.
Institucional are reducing longs, this mean profit taken, not necessary trend change, you are at liquidity zone and at a daily run on liquidity also, so where is the idea selling is not a option?
If you want to say doing that with any fundamentals behind, then i agree, i already said here all of us can make a sell or a buy at any price on the chart without stop loss and just pray, in my case i prefer not overleverage, reduce the exposure when is counter trend if i think it suite best and have a stop loss and assume that loss, what matters is the edge of why you enter at that price in a long run. Losses make part of trading, since we are not gamblimg and even so beeing a prophet.
And don't forget STOP LOSS real matter, you can see a sell right now but the stop be in the extreme of the target with plenty of room.
But you are right in one thing, most of people here want to sells last week, when i said daily is aiming this high and weekly ATH does do not mean that sell is not an option.

Yep thats good, scalping should be for few pips with big lot as compare to regular lot.
For long term i am looking for new ATH and then might be go down for further up. As i have already told in my old post that there are very low chances that it will retest 3900 ot 3800. Anyway who know.

I get your point bro. Everyone trades their own style and the market never moves straight. Both buys and sells can work depending on conditions, plan and risk management. Liquidity zones and profit taking dont mean trend change either. End of the day what matters is the edge, discipline and using a proper stop loss. I respect your view.
I just want to say never go for scalp quickly after some up or down movement, just wait and go for proper entry and come out with good profit without long wait.

i used to just scalp 2-5 dollars 100 times or so

One advantage i have is i am not greedy at all, is compounding an account that in the future we can win more the safiest way.
The problem of many is that every day they find an holygrail and in best scenarios their account remain the same at the end.
Trader can be fun and profitable without stress and we all can do it.

i do daily compound, 5-10% and finish, cuz 5% over a year is already unimaginable, even 2% with enough patience

You are right bro. Staying patient and avoiding greed is the safest way to grow an account.
Trading can be simple stress free and profitable if we stay focused and make own strategy. Many traders have no real plan. They open the platform see gold moving up and instantly take a quick sell for a retracement without thinking then end up in loss. First they need to watch the market daily. After observing the movements their mind will start understanding the flow. Trading is not just pressing buy and sell. its about observing, planning and then executing.

1. Physical = bullion (always trading at a premium of Spot)
2. Futures (paper trading)
3. Cash = ETFs, gold backed securities and settlement for the day.

they published physical price daily (after SGE close) SHFE also published futures rate, but we need to understand Chinese

The reason why Western banks are moving their gold desk to east is becuase of time zone.
