What am I missing here?

10 month record making 25% and already has 1.5 million in investor capital? Does this guy have some rich friends that invested? Average invester puts in 60K.

Or maybe investors are getting an erection over the 6.7% drawdown (which is lower than 90% of most Darwins)

It states that Darwin currently has 17 investors and a total investor capital of $1,056,686.93. That averages out to $62k per investor.

Look under "Investor capital progress" to see in more detail how the investors have formed. Particularly striking is the sudden drop in investor capital on October 10th. On October 9th, it was 622k, on the 10th only 184k, and on the 13th suddenly back up to 640k. The graph shows the same number of 15 investors during these four days.

Absolutely fantastic. My Darwin account was cancelled due to ONE failed payment, and now support is telling me there's no way to recover it and that my track record is lost, even though it's still clearly visible on the Darwinex platform. Unfortunately, I saw the notifications too late. That's really pathetic. After just 7 days, you lose your DarwinexZero account and a track record built up over months because of a failed payment?

4 accounts.... have 2 in calibration....

all my boosters are 3 month 100k..... have only 1 darwin 30k allocation..... 430 is my max account now....

i am constantly trying to rethink how to best use the boosters.... have said i would transition to 12 month boosters but have now almost convinced myself that is a bad idea.....

and leaning towards no more permanent allocations.....

as time goes on, with more experience, very likely my entire approach will change.....

Thanks, yes I'm trying to sort that out right now, but somehow they seem to be not very flexible.

I'm still not sure if using boosters makes more sense than permanent allocations. The 12-month booster seems to cost significantly less than the permanent allocation, and you're allowed up to 400k in boosters per account. While you can only buy one booster per month, let's say I were to create a Darwin and buy two 200k boosters on January 1, 2026, that would cost $4,020.

On the other hand, if I wanted to reach the same 400k with permanent allocations, I would have to create four different Darwins and buy four 100k permanent allocations, which would cost me $7,980 with the instant option.

The difference seems to be that permanent allocations are indefinite, while boosters are time-limited. However, if you were to buy the boosters again every year for 12 months, that would essentially be "permanent" as well? With permanent allocations, you can save quite a bit on one-time costs if you choose the Targeted Return option instead of the Instant allocation. Sure, it takes longer to get the allocation, but if you can't predict whether and when you'll achieve certain returns with your Darwin, it seems like a better choice than buying the instant option.

boosters are time-limited but i'd bet in most cases permanent allocations are time limited also..... think of darwin's admitted percentage of successful traders...... it's very low..... most probably don't last long enough to recover the cost........

besides, the cost is not something i focus on much....... the % return is on my mind, not the cost.....

suppose on the 25th your darwin was created....... on the 26th you bought the permanent allocation...... the next few days had a 15% drawdown...... a lot of those high ranking guys have 15% dd......

now you have to make 150,000 just to breakeven...... and even more before you get a penny in performance fees......

suppose on the 30th you bought the 3month 100k booster....... and another on the 1st...... those 3 month boosters would make 4500 before the permanent was ever back at 0...... and only cost 1000...... think of that % return......

boosters add a degree of nimbleness...... the high water mark resets...... where the permanent is set in stone until you raise it......h

that has got to be the longest stretch for the ym 240 chart to stay below 5 in a long long time...... and i have the drawdown to prove it.....

my affliction is to take profit far to early and hold losses far to long...... it's a rare disease i know.......

it might just extend my red streak......

but this time i'm going to , in the words of the immortal bachman tuner overdrive, let it ride......

or at least try......h

Yes, I hadn't considered that at all, but it's true. If you buy a permanent allocation and then immediately go into a drawdown, you obviously won't earn anything from the allocation until you reach your HWM again. So, in that sense, permanent allocations don't really make much sense.

I'm just wondering if three months would be enough for me to generate any profit that would actually leave me with a decent return after deducting costs. Let's say I buy the maximum capacity of boosters for three months starting for December.

2 x 200k boosters = $2050
Required return to cover the cost of the boosters with the 400k AUM = +3.42% (400000 * 0.0342 * 0.15)

Let's say I make the +3.42% in December to cover the costs but lose money in January and February; then the boosters wouldn't have benefited me at all except to pay for themselves.

yes, it is all a gamble...... that's why timing appears so important to me ......

a single nq can make or lose 10k in a single day...... a single es or rty can make or lose 5k......

you only need 40k to cover the 3 month 100k booster..... in rare occasions that can be 1 day......

buying boosters on the first day of the month seldom works for me...... buying them on the perfect day does......

today, my preference is the 3 month 100k...... it seems best gear for my speed...... i drive in the slow lane......

monty passes me every day......h

8/7/2026....... mark it on your calendar......

i propose....... we start a new darwinex zero account on that day....... so our darwin ticker should be created on the 30th or 31..... we buy the permanent 100k allocation and a 200k 12 month booster that day....... the next day, on the 1st, we buy another 200k 12 month booster...... so in 2 days we went from nothing to maxed out.......

with the possibility of a silver allocation in 30 days....... wonder how good we could do.........

speaking of silver allocations, i just noticed on the allocation page it shows your estimated silver allocation...... seen below makayla, might get 30k.... she won't..... correlation exclusion..... peyton will out trade us every time.......

I am wondering what advantage one gets by buying allocations (booser or permanent). Why not create new darwin with it. With 1K one can get 10 darwins with 2 months fees. With 30K basic allocation one gets 3 millon in allocation. Just wanted to think outloud am I missing something?
