Where are we going today

This week has been a very tough one for me personally. But that’s the nature of “gold dancing.” There’s always an important lesson behind every mistake. Luckily, I use a rebate mechanism when trading, so with high volume I was able to earn a fairly significant rebate to cushion the impact.

#Got Rebate around USD 500 for October.

My View on XAUUSD (Daily Chart)
Sharing my outlook on gold based on current structure and price action.
Main idea:

1. Key levels I’m watching: 4000-4005 - which is both a psychological level and its PDH ; 4034 which is the middle of an important FVG ; 4065 which is its weekly pivot point.
2. Bias: Bullish
3. Reasoning: i think it could break out two bearish trends and because of its overall bullish move, maybe it can get back on the track.
4. Target area: i think it can close over 4000 in this week.

Played well..holding until BOE with Trailing stop

Still holding on this for tomorrow too, at least until BOE.
Seems the market is creating a bottom to go upward for both pairs after BOE but it will only be a short living deep retracement toward weekly. So, good sell from above while DXY find support lower...

If it flies upward btw today and tomorrow before BOE, it will fall after.
So let's see how the game will be played..

Before BOE:

GU heading to 1.3080s and possibly just below 1.3110 while EU to below 1.1520 and possibly 1.1530s.

Later will provide price levels of DXY and see to which it corresponds to more...

Gold bears trying to keep price below 3990 to tackle down to 3880 then 3830s, while bulls if would break 3990 will be held below 4020

Remember that 3990-4010 was the range for support/resistance switched many times in btw in past weeks, so it holds huge importance if bears can hold it from the neck of 3990 and below.

I'll talk about DXY supports for today, starting by a crucial one at 99.75, below here and we're going to 99.50-55, below here is 99.30 that will hold if reached. While 100.00-10 is the main resistance, above here will extend strength quickly... But as I told you before about GU/EU going up first, focusing on DXY supports before BOE.

RESISTANCE

The 4-hour chart of gold (XAU/USD) shows a market in transition: after a dip toward around $3,930–$3,940, buyers returned decisively and pushed prices back above the $4,000 mark, creating a higher low and signaling that bulls are re-entering the picture. Recent strong green candles and modestly higher volume support the idea that this is a genuine bounce rather than just a short, weak retracement. Price is now knocking on a short-term resistance zone near $4,010–$4,020, a level where earlier upward momentum lost steam. If gold can convincingly close above that area, it could open the door to further upside toward $4,050+. Conversely, failure to hold above $4,000 might set up a retest of the previous support zone in the $3,970–$3,950 range, where buying interest will likely be tested again.

From the news and macro angle, the backdrop is intriguing and somewhat mixed. On the supportive side: gold recently moved higher as the U.S. dollar slipped from a four‐month high amid the ongoing U.S. government shutdown, which is keeping investor risk appetite somewhat in check and boosting safe-haven demand. Central banks remain active buyers of bullion, which helps undergird the market. On the other hand, the stronger dollar which hit three-month highs at one point and concerns that the Federal Reserve may delay rate cuts are weighing on sentiment. Further, some analysts suggest that while the rally has been strong (roughly +170 % since late 2022) it still ranks only third in magnitude over the last 50 years, meaning that the risk of a plateau or correction is real.

Technically, gold is in a short-term bullish phase as long as it holds above ~$4,000 and breaks the ~$4,010-$4,020 zone. But the macro backdrop is ambiguous supportive central-bank demand and safe-haven flows are positive, yet a strong dollar and delayed rate cuts could temper the rally. Given these factors, the most likely scenario is a range-bound upside in the near term, rather than a straight sprint higher meaning that traders should watch carefully for a breakout above resistance or a retest of support to clarify the next leg.
