Nope, it doesn't suck!
Migrating thousands of code line sucks, yes, it does! I just started ...
But alone for the chance to reduce backtest times from say one hour to 5 minutes or even less, it's worth the effort!
On top comes the possibility to backtest multi symbol EA's - this is a new world.
I should have started this migration earlier, much earlier.

The new MT5 versions are better. Now it works....overall. This is the reason why I made all my mql4 code up to mql5 spec to actually work on both platforms many years ago. Because I expected that someday I will have to switch completely to MT5 if they decide to stop the support for MT4. Now at least I can do something on MT5 and it works. The improved Strategy Tester definitely is the main reason to use MT5. It's also much faster on backtesting single symbols.

Basically, it is not possible to convert all MetaTrader 4 code to 5. As someone who programs in both environments, many of the methods and functions have different structures, and therefore converting them into one computer program is not possible.
