The EUR/USD is trading in a ranging mode between 1.1622 and 1.1577, waiting for significant news out of Europe and the US. A break is imminent. Resistance above the range is located at 1.1655, 1.1675, and the 1.1700/28 zone. If the pair drops, then 1.1542, 1.1527, and 1.1500 are the next support levels to focus on.

The PMIs provide the fuel, but market structure provides the roadmap.

While the fundamental divergence may support your bullish EUR view, the current Daily and H4 technical structure remains largely range-bound with a bearish tone.

So don't jump on the first move but wait for a technical confirmation after the news.

Eu never make it back above 1623 so…. Maybe we may not get back above before next leg down

Daily perspective 1.1617 below is good for bears / above is good for bulls.
H4 perspective 1.16075 below is good for bears / above is good for bulls.
Price didn't stay above the middle Bollinger Band for long on the H4 chart and also on H1, so we have reverted to the bearish zone

News are near and the high seems too close to handle volatility. Not trading today just watching and might get in if I see a good opportunity.

same here. Have done very little this week, mainly on sideline. I was expecting a bit higher to sell, that didnt happen

After eu pmi's 1.1600 is a lot stronger and only a misstep from us data is missing to fly high. Not a good week also. I was so close to hit my tp when it dropped at 1.1577.

It is so strange how the 1630 to 1620 has been holding price. There are not obvious trapped orders here, at least not when first looking at it. But this area has really kept price from moving up going back to Tuesday and held again today. The best I can tell is there are trapped buyers here.

I suppose lack of US news is causing these conditions and lack of a real move in either direction. It is strange, because despite there being no US news, many think the Fed will still cut rates, but that still isn't getting the EURUSD to go up.

This may be due:

Dollar is the Safe Haven. Global uncertainty or general market indecision often defaults to dollar strength.

And..

Sometimes the market gets very long and even good news for EUR/USD won't move it higher because everyone who wanted to buy has already bought.

At least sellers came in where the buyers appeared to be trapped on the 1H, so price is behaving as expected.
