my Uber driver the other day, as soon as he found out i was a trader for the fx desk at my bank, proceeded to ask if it was still good to buy gold when it was around 4300
that was my sign that the retail folks have probably fomo-ed into the XAU hype, often with leverage.
a lot probably got liquidated these last 2 days but theres a lot more…..

You guys, Deal, Fxmateress and 1-2 others were shouting "Don't buy, Don't buy" but people were still catching the 5x speed falling knife with their mouth.
I think that's how it all works, that's what suppose to happen to drive these crazy moves.
If the stubborn biased, blinds, experienced dumbs, over-leveragers, gamblers, top/bottom finders won't become liquidity, then who will pay profits of 2-5% profitable traders?

Craziness continue at Gold markets. I took long positions at 4125 (2 minilot) and 4130 (call (long) option expiry date 24 nov) after NY close.
Things are very volatile. 4000 is tested and rejected so far, but if another test came at London or NY, it can fail. However, I see good chance of retracement until 4200 after huge daily drop.
I expect, at least, test of weekly open ard 4250 before end of the week. No more expectation of ATH this week definitely. We may see several weeks (or more) of consolidation (including deeper pullback) before resuming weekly uptrend again which is quite normal actually after relentless rising since 3400.
This is high risk trade, so it is not an advice to anybody. Make your own analysis and risk management.

lol such a week, people's greed blind their vision lol 0.0 still dreaming for 5k next year... but it is now possible say no, it still possible but the chance is much lower now unless a full stroke up appear, remove all bear position.. but without a demand base, i could see it is impossible for now. Also look at today move, big liquidity H1 tail, H4 tail without touch 4155, and price now is stay at 4090, it mean a new range appear at lower ground lol, which can indicate sell can continue to the lower ground lol but this time with some effort! This move up is an attempt to buy, it not base on any demand base lol. if price can break 4155-4164 early then it could reverse and set a base demand, then can go for the high again, otherwise it is not a good time to buy or sell right now
