There is only one metric that shows everything about your system...well 2.

Your ATH and How many days since.

If you can constantly meet/maintain or beat your ATH, you have it made. A short time in between is OK but sooner or later you need to catch up or beat it.

This makes it really easy to assess your trading whether it's manual or algo.

If you can achieve a constant ATH, all other metrics will most likely look good too or are in a reasonable range.

So simple. That's all it takes to advance as a trader at Darwinex.
Does anyone disagree?

Yes, definitely an accurate statement. If your ATH for this pay period, whether it be quaterly, monthly, weekly, whatever is not higher than last period ATH.....you don't get paid.
However, isn't this true of all trading, regardless if it's Darwinex, prop firm, personal....if your equity is less than it was yesterday.....well, you're not making a withdrawal today??
As far as allocations, this is where the track record comes in, I have had multiple months where I could be negative, highest I've seen is -1.4% and still have my 75 rating.
This will all change in Gold as allocations are simply dependent on THIS MONTH returns. Still looks like 2% gets you the minimum though and it's 50K and is cumulative for 6 months....so if I do the same thing I'm doing in silver.....300K in 6 months PER Darwin
My first Darwin has not received an allocation last month and probably not this month as I held a couple of losing trades FAR, FAR too long.......but that is my own fault......I still sometimes have that home run mentality and get out of that "I only need 2-2.5% monthly mentality." However, it sits close to 14% all time, so I simply need to get it back on track to reach gold in 2-3 months.
At the end of the day, we are all different traders with different risk tolerance, systems, etc, etc.......I simply find Darwinex fits my trading personality perfectly.
I also trade with Tradeify, TPT and FTMO.....and it's stress all day due to the ridiculous targets vs max loss/daily loss these firms provide plus with the futures firms you need to close EOD....if it's a loser you need to book it, no avaeraging in/out the next day, etc.

Difference is for example at a prop if you were up 5% and dropped to 3%, you are still a winner. You are a winner as long as your equity is above 100% and you haven't hit any dll.
At Darwinex, if you drop that 2%, you lose multiplier and since you are no longer at ATH or surpassing it, you are not a winner. Let's say you drop another 1 or 2%. At prop you are still a winner but at Darwinex, you are suddenly #6785 with a 42 rank even though you are still in positive.
Psychologically, it makes a big difference when being a winner and getting kicked in the shin cause you aren't a bigger winner than yesterday.
Let's say you start gaining again. At prop, if you gain say 2%, it is 2% at face value where as at Darwinex, when you gain back that 2%, it won't be 2%. . It will be a fraction of that due to losing multiplier and the original multiplier won't be reinstated until weeks or months in the future. That is if you don't drip another 1% of your regained profit.

Basically Darwinex drops you really quickly and reinstates you really slowly. If you were going to look into any 'house' advantage that Darwinex may have, this is it.

But once you take that 1% payout from the prop, in order to get ANOTHER payout, your equity must be higher than the last payout. I get what you are saying, but eventually, regardless of who/where you are trading with, your equity will need to exceed your last withdrawal in order to keep pulling money out.
It works the same at Darwinex, if I'm up 4% for the month and then drop to 2%.....I'm still getting paid and still getting allocated. I've been up to 5.5% DD on my highest risk multiplier Darwin and it still sits at 2.14

How high-water marks work

  1. A high-water mark is the highest value an investment fund has ever reached.
  2. A manager only earns a performance fee on new profits if the fund's value exceeds its high-water mark.
  3. If the fund loses money, it must recover those losses and surpass the high-water mark before the manager can collect a performance bonus.
  4. This prevents investors from paying a performance fee repeatedly for the same profits and protects them from paying fees for poor performance

no it's not the same thing.
Look at the vid with the guy buying 50 Darwin accounts.
he is up 20-22% in his underlying. He could have passed a prop challenge with 16% and now be 6% into trading for 90% of the gain for his 1st payout. And this is a success after throwing 50 at the wall and this one finally stuck.

and he could be up 50% on his Darwin with 20% in his underlying if HE DID NOT OVER LEVERAGE....you have to understand the model to succeed at it.
This one finally stuck because now HE UNDERSTANDS the model.
This model is more about making profit with good risk control rather than pure profit
20% in my underlying gives me 43% on my Darwin.
My best performing Darwin is at 6.4% in my underlying and my Darwin is close to 14%
My first Darwin is at 17% in underlying and about 14.5% in Darwin....this one was much better until I (me, not Darwinex) over-leveraged and held some trades too long.

no listen, if your account never dipped more than 5% of the original deposit, you are already trading with proper risk considerations. AS works that way. Other props trail it, so 5% dd any time is a breach bit they are,always 1:1 for % gain or loss. That is straight forward where as with Darwinex, after gaining the dd back, you are still paying for a sin of some bad trade you made some 45 days or more ago.
Why would someone give up the simple, straight forward and fair way of assessing risk like AS and props and want to work under complex and unpredicatable and lopsided Darwinex model? All because of the hope that your multiplier is higher than 1? One needs to look into and master Darwinex's extra multiplier tshirt gun for freebies?

You still do not understand the model.......the risk multiplier is irrelevant. Everyone is risk adjusted regardless of the size you trade.......
If I make 5% underlying with a 2.0 and you make 20% with a 0.5.....we are the same. You are simply more at risk because your size is too large.
Here is another 100% true and acurate statement.......Grid and Martingale DOES NOT WORK with Darwinex.
As they recently won an award for having the best risk model.......says alot about the inherent risk for graid and martingale trading.
That is truly the bottom line, grid/martingale forces over-leveraging and holding losers too long.....both things INVESTORS DO NOT WANT

At the end of the day, I truly believe I can make 100K/year with this company just getting minimal gold allocations and a bit of investor capital. It my require 5-6 Darwins, I'll access when first 3 are Gold.
What I love is I can do this with realistic goals of 2-2.5% per month
I have a firm grasp on the model and how it works.
Monty is pulling 200K per month with props....I do not have the risk tolerance to do what he does. He is needing 500%+ per month on the DD offered....is it sustainable or is it simply because a monkey (no offense, Monty) can simply push the buy button gold these days?
To me Darwinex is REAL trading with realistic expectations.....yet 90% STILL cannot make the holy grail of 2% monthly.......and then they blame the risk engine......it's kind of crazy

Where as the same thing that works at props, doesn't work at Darwinex be it grid or martingale or whatever. That's the point.

If Darwubex's RE is such a hot tomale, why is no one else following it? Usually when there is a good idea, it gets quickly copied. Even Luis says in a vid that they are applying risk model that is disadvantageous to the traders. Really honest I must say.

Just wondering, at what point would compounding your profits from your own accounts with multiple highly regulated brokers overtake payouts from say 3-6 Darwinex Zero accounts so that you can comfortably withdraw 100K a year?

Of course, the nature of compounding is patience, so you have to wait trading your own accounts and pay tax. Whereas with Darwinex Zero, you get payouts straight from almost the get-go minus all the fees and of course tax.

If you'd read my posts, you'd know (assuming you have some understanding) that I'm absolutely not against prop companies or things like Darwinex. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't try to use them for myself. I was simply trying to give my objective opinion on a topic, while you're trying to attack me personally and inappropriately. Well, the simple answer is when you have personal funds equivalent to 15% of your darwin AUM.
As Darwin pay a 15% performance fee, trading a million AUM in Darwinex would need a 150K personal account.......assuming same rate of return.

My current results. According to the rating calculator, I still need 4.96% by the end of October to achieve the minimum rating of 75 and secure 30k for 3 months, which is 2.24% I'm currently missing. I think with my current strategy (even though it's not a Martingale), it will take too long. I haven't yet found a way to optimize it by increasing my profit-to-drawdown ratio. But I'll keep it running for now. At least it won't cost me any time even though it unfortunately only brings in money for Darwinex so far.

Purchasing a permanent allocation might be a way to benefit from my current performance sooner rather than waiting for investors capital, which could likely take years (if at all). The instant permanent allocation, however, is quite expensive and wouldn't pay off given my Darwin's current performance. Just to cover the costs, it would require a return of over 13% which with my current risk multiplier would mean a 26% raw return that I would have to achieve in the underlying signal account.

I don't know, but Darwinex doesn't seem to be worth it for me. What do you think?

You can try one of the temporary boosters, you will earn from your real time quote right now. These are way less expensive than the permanent.
For example, if you purchase a 50K booster fro 3 months, it runs $265. Your break even point would be 3.5% return over the 3 months.
I personally have not used boosters or permanent allocations, but I am always tempted to any time I have some DD. However, not to be a gloating asshole, I get seed allocations every month (except 2) on 3 Darwins.
If I was in a situation where past performance was holding me down but I feel I could make the 2-2.5% monthly moving forward....I would definitely purchase a temporary booster.

He asked and that is probably the best move for him, once again, if he can hit the 2-2.5% monthly.
