Anyway Dow 5 minute and one minute.Plus a vwap line for interest ( no deviation band) But main Roadmap driver. Also 5 minute ORB shown at 2:30pm between blue lines. IB also shown.

Kevin - is this the sort of thing you see with vwap ( UK times) -albeit NY on holiday?
I also got a mebob line and ORB but I am looking at Roadmap assisted by vwap?

anchors to whatever session you want and then when that defined time period ends
you can set the levels to extend until touched.

Kinda new here, been trying to get used to AMT. Used to use volume profile as a standalone to try to understand the auction but it was confusing so I decided to come here. I've been on this thread for days and I took a setup today. Price was in discovery on all timeframes (figured that out using the VWAPs); and there was a break above the IB high and a retest which I took. Was there anything I could have done better? I'm willing to learn. What do y'all think?

I see your using Drysdale's indi...

I guess my first question is..what time is your IB set too?
820-920am NY should be what's used... Otherwise good read on the market.

840am today was the A+ setup. As price was in discovery on Session Vwap..came back in value and bounced off session vwap. Textbook VWAP bounce setup.
Next if you have the Globex profile price also at the same time rejected off of Globex POC and VAH...

Multi confluences. I also anchor a VWAP to prev NY 820 open...take a look at that.

Almost like a top down chart analysis with the VWAPS...
Monthly
Weekly
Prev days NY open 820 gold
Session vwap
Finally current days 820 open I attach to...normally wait a minimum of 30mins.

Take a look at that as well and there were simply more setups today than you can shake a stick at...good quality multi confluence trades..

About The IB I wanted to ask a question. I trade forex mostly so this was CFD gold, does the the 8:20 to 9:20am still hold there? In the trade this morning it was the 9am to 10am window i used(it was an assumption due to the london NY overlap) the globex open is at 6pm of the previous day yeah? If so that's what i anchored it to.
I'll look at anchoring the previous session open as well

Also do you use all these confluences when trading?

Yes I think it is very important to use the "Open Outcry" times as these are considered the RTH/Regular trading hours
for whatever asset your trading. It's when Volume generally comes in...It's what professional traders/Institutional traders use.

As for CFDs...One can just use the futures data/charts GC for trading xau/usd

Yes Globex Open is 6pm NY.
Yes I use all of these confluences.. As I was saying with VWAPs from Monthly/Weekly/Daily etc,,, down to anchoring to the current days RTH open.
Do I keep them all on my chart...Nope I would be lost..Its just a mouse click toggle on and off...And If price is
nowhere near say the monthly or weekly I toggle it off..and focus on what is more likely in play..What is price currently
responding to... Are we In Balance or Imbalanced.

Hi Blanctrader

I always have a CUM Delta indicator set up on a seperate chart when trading Gold or Indexes. I need to see a break in Delta supporting price action before I enter a trade.

The question you need to answer is
A.. Do I take the touch of a level before trading.
B.. Do I wait for confirmation that price has actually bounced off that level before trading.
I suppose I am asking you how the hell will you actually execute that trade setup.

I personally prefer to wait and let Delta confirm my trade decision was correct by using the cumulative Delta tool to signal an entry, then trade only once correct Delta on the actual individual Candlestick or Bar is correct.

I have a trading exercise for you which is really good can be done with delayed futures data feed on demo.
Actually it’s how trade the US index open every day on ES, NQ or Gold for the first 40 minutes ONLY.
Get good at this and it’s an easy $500-$1000 a day
If trading NQ (Futures) set up MNQ Cum Delta indicator up on 500 Tick Chart and trade NQ on 500 Tick Chart.
Simply take a Bullish trade if Cum rotates bullish or look for a Bearish trade if Cum Delta rotates bearish.
Just the first 5 to 40 minute during open.
Its dramatic and bloody profitable after some practice.
This will teach you the power of Delta is everything.

The purpose of this exercise is learning to time your trade entry alongside Algorithmic trading bots.
