I don't know how the move down was this strong without a news event, but it was and it took me by surprise. Bears are very strong right now, must be uncertainly moving to USD.

Its a strong dollar driven by jpy weakness and a short squeeze on usdx. See 10 year us yields where up in us session.

If you think the bulls will takeover you are greatly mistaken, the downtrend for EURUSD has only started said this weeks ago on "EURUSD Only" before the owner got sensitive and banned me. Wonder if he's still buying

Do yourself a favour and look at Commercials positioning for EURUSD, that will help you a lot
Everyone says COT Reports don't work, they do, you just don't know how to use them.
EURUSD will sell off extremely hard and for a while
COT reports only work for swing trading
I guess it can work for day trading also once the move is in motion

There is a short squeeze on USDX due to JPY weakness? That has to be the reason, there was no big news and price moved down so strongly today, blowing right through levels of interest for me.

Why will the EURUSD continue to sell off? What is the reason for it? Just curious as to why this move down is so strong.

It's due to Commercials positioning! They do not need "news events" to push price, sure that helps but not needed when the big boys are placing trades.

Because the big boys are net short and retail traders have been net long for 52 weeks.
That's a retail extreme
Hence commercial positioning takes over, liquidating all the retail buyers

market shift started with Jerome Powells rate cut announcement. Look at the massive rejection candle. Powell's news from 17th September were perfect to disguise the final sweep.

The move up was eaten within 30 minutes or so.

CFTC official website or on Barchart! but please do your research on COT data and commercials in specific. You cannot blindly follow them because you will lose money!! they are patient traders and wait for major extremes before their positions take effect as they need lots of liquidity to fill their orders.
